You could get one of these rod retrieval tools, which are good, if you have a camera to see what you are doing with it, otherwise, if you have difficult fliuezchimneys to sweep get locking rods.

My mistake, I didn’t realise it was a case of speed, I thought it was a case of sweeping chimneys/flues and not loosing your rods. -

Lock fast rods, anything you can’t turn anti-clockwise will give you trouble if you get the rods/brush stuck. -
Yes, it’s an aqueduct, when the toll road was built it was agreed that the cut would be diverted, never happened.

What do you need in life? Somewhere warm and dry? when me and the ex Mrs split I could have bought a place straight away, but there’s more to life than a pile of bricks. I’ve just bagged a new pitch in the middle of Stoke, it resembles the bronx, it has electric and water and is fenced in, it’ll do for winter.

Absolutely glorious first thing, went down the cut to get some proper breakfast, a steam powered narrowboat came through, guess who didn’t have his phone with him. The Staffordshire Oatcakes with bacon cheese and mushrooms went down well.

I could go into it but…I pay council tax at a mates house, I pay the 25% uplift for the pleasure. The only point you’ve got that stands up is, I might not be paying council tax in the area I’m in, so what, do people pay extra council tax if they stay down the coast for a month? The places I speak of already allow overnight parking with the consent of councils why not just allow them to have 2-3 vans on over winter. It doesn’t affect me, I’ve got a pitch with my other box for winter, but there’s stacks of people looking for winter pitches. In the middle of a housing crisis.
