  1. Only just the right side of the wall...
  2. I'll just add to this, just had a look, I can get tested, just short of £400 plus a trip down the smoke for a day. I think I'll give that a miss now I'm back on my feet, and out working.
  3. Don't know, can't get tested. I had some symptoms of the virus. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy
  4. Too right, had a BBQ in the field this afternoon, good time had by a few of us, I recon no one got within four yards of me, I'm sure Jeff who was doing the cooking could have infected me, I'll take me chance. Like I do when someone walks past me in the isle at the supermarket.
  5. Well done, Bullman, a bit of sense at last. Fancy a pint down the local on Friday?
  6. If there should be Les, there isn't one on mine. I thought that was idea of brimming the filter, to do away with the need for priming?
  7. I know about filling the filter to the brim, but there is no primer as far as I know. I've always just cracked one of the injectors. Where is the primer on the 2L DI?
  8. Yeah, my mate used to own the factors before he sold out to EU, not The EU, another countrywide factors, he is still the local depot manager, but not able to nip over and get parts for people like he used to.
  9. Unfortunately not, good offer though, thanks.
  10. Mixture of water and sludge, I've washed it out with clean diesel the best I can and put it back on until I can get a new one in the morning. Started first time no trouble.
  11. Just taken the diesel filter off, this is what came out of it. Guess what, nowhere open to get a new filter until tomorrow.
  12. 2litre duratorq DI.
  13. I haven't got a problem paying for a proper diagnostics, b0D, but it seems anywhere that's got the correct kit are shutdown due to this poxy virus.
  14. I read that last night, but I take most things on the web with a barrow full of salt. How's ya luck?, get a good few days of work and the fecking van starts playing up.
  15. Was the filter housing cracked/split?
  16. Yesterday I did a 120 mile round journey with a short stop about 3/4hour, on the way home the heater plug warning light started flashing, no loss of power, no smoke, drove just fine. The MK6 doesn't have an engine management light, the heater plug warning light doubles up as the EML. Got the van home with no problems, stopped the van, started it about 15 mins later and no flashing light, mate of mine put a fault code reader on it, no fault(s) found. The obvious would be heater plug(s) has failed, but after searching the Transit forums there seems to be a whole load of things that could bring the warning light on (flashing orange). diesel filter, crankshaft sensor, blah, blah. Anyway, this morning was a cold start, it took longer than normal for it to fire, t'was cranking fine. Any ideas apart from start with the cheapest parts first?
  17. Try Swift electrical in Newmarket, Dave the owner isn't there anymore, but he still owns and runs the company. If you don't get any joy with the lads I'll dig out Dave's number. Home WWW.SWIFTELECTRICALREWINDS.CO.UK
  18. I had a morso squirrel on a boat, it certainly kept my 56' narrowboat warm/hot, except in the dead of winter on the cut, I used to fire up a webasto diesel heater on really cold nights to help the morso. That said, I don't like being cold when I'm indoors.
  19. No end to your talents, Bolam.

    Covid-19

No other word for it than bonkers. I've done a job today at a house, in the garden. This is a big pitch with electric gates, the bloke opened the gates to let me in and walked back in his house as agreed. I'm back tomorow to finish off, the same will happen then. It's easy to pick the phone up to tell him what's going on.

    Covid-19

It does look a shambles, but we've never experienced anything like this poxy virus before. I was just reading about a nurse from The Royal Free Hospital in London, she wrote that she is on leave next week but after that she was going to struggle to get to work. The hospital have told them, no more car sharing, what's that about when they are working on the same wards ?, she also said the virus was getting so out of hand down the smoke that they are closing part of the next week so they can prepare for Covid-19 patients, all other treatments have been cancelled or moved to other hospitals. And they've told staff not to use the tubes that are still running because they are crowded with people.
  22. No, both vehicles wrote off, shame because it was a good motor.
  23. Yep, it's a good job (for them) he didn't catch them, he's always been a handy lad when it's needed.
  24. Picture of what they didn't want out of the van dumped just down the road from my place.
  25. It seems not, they must have some balls, I'd have thought anyone driving a van about late at night would be prime for getting stopped by the Police ATM.
