  1. Does a 026 pot and piston fit onto a 024? Cheers
  2. Good job you trusted your instinct on this one! What is it that didn't feel right?
  3. What poison should be used on stumps in general then? Is thios just a case of graftged linked roots on yew? or can apply to other tree's? What poison should be used? Cheers

    Ms460 ?

Ms361 is ace i bought a new one last year sometime, brand new 2008 model been sat in a box since new
  5. i've a tw 150 bit of an older one but its a cracker! Yeah its a steel chassis, shame, but its strong and sound. Newer ones went galvanazed
  6. Iwas going to say dieing/restriction of the cambium layer which could lead to dieback in the crown etc.... also the fact that epicormic down on the stem meaning the tree knows somethings wrong in crown and trying to compensate.... Would i have been far out then? (wish i had posted earlier but glad i didn't and live in the shadows )
  7. Some of the growth looks epicormic? Sprouting from the stem.... whats it like in the crown?
  8. Its a 52mm diameter piston and looked it up and it looks like a 133 85cc saw Worth saving? project...
  9. Big heavy saw, big exhaust, twin dawgs A 123? 143?

    Species ID ?

    Some kind of white beam/sorbus
  11. your not going to sleep now
  12. I just use a stein rc2000 wish i knew about the tree runner when i bought it, but the rc2000 is rated more...... then again i wish i'd had enough spare brass for the rc3000
  13. Just trying to find a link to the book to check it out, but computer being slow...
  14. Congrats and good luck with the saw
  15. Not done one yet but think one is on the cards at some point will have to check diary
  16. Tight sods round here try and offer 80-90 quid a day... Thats terrible and taking the p1ss i think, but aparently there's plenty that will climb for that thats when i say, sorry not me
  17. You'll be hard pressed to compete with the "tree runner " is it? only about 125.00 Have you checked the market and what else is there ( don't mean to offend if you allready have)
  18. Makes me laugh when people say your too cheap .... They don't know your situation, or your market! For instance, logs for eg, people begrudge paying "X" amount for a bag, but 20 miles down the road i could get 20-30 quid a bag more.... You can only get what you can get, and you make sure you get as much as you can! Cover your costs, wages and be happy! You could go in higher and loose out on work by joe bloggs dwon the road under cutting you, then your in a worse position than before..... You know what your worth and when you achieve your day rate you want you'll be happy Tbh i would like my day rate to go up and think it should as i know and OTHERS know what i can do in a day, but the likely hood of that happening at the moment isn't feasable due to how things are economy wise and money being tight.....
  19. Is it buggery lol
  20. Deffinetly good advice! always a pain seeing people wasting time trying to move big piles with a bower
  21. Processor i've used would take up to 14" but was quicker and more beneficial with 8-10" timber. The smaller stuff you could just cut to size in the processor and not need to split so it may work out When it comes to bigger rings, they would be halved or quartered and dropped into the splitter part So its possible.... just depends on what the cost would be in getting someone in or hireing one in yourself and your time etc...

    Bee's

is it easy to tell what type of bee they are?
  23. The bigger stuff looks like it wouldn't, some of the other stuff looks like it should have been through the chipper, is there anything medium diameter? And straight'ish?
  24. Firm i've worked for had a bandit 90 behind a 3.5t truck, just found out it's just under 2 tonne! going off website specs, it hated it really.... didn't like setting off but once going was ok. I've pulled 2.5 tonne with my old ldv and it was fine, pulled like a good one! Yet to pull a big weight with the iveco yet... You can always tell that there's a chipper behind regardless of which it is anyhow.
