I've been looking for a loader for my john deere 3040 for a long while, nothing has yet presented itself! I'm considering selling both my tractors and getting another with a loader allready fitted which is a shame but want to move forwards. Not looking to spend a lot! 5-6k what about a 590 fergy? have they got good hydraulics? I have a log splitter with a massive ram so want good pressure! I could easily pick up a 590 and a mf80 loader but would be 2wd.... thats why it would be a shame to get rid of the 3040 as its 4wd.... hmmmm most of my work is roadside etc rarely off road etc, need to shove chip pile up and load trailer etc and its bad in that area. Ideally want to be moving yards to somewhere with a nice concrete pad so 2wd wouldnt be a problem... Any suggestions on what tractors? Cheers

Spot on! theres a local guy selling a builders bag mixed hard and soft for £36.00 collected. smallest bag granted... but with the price of the bag then labour to split etc... whats the point in that?

Just a spare from the 261 i just got rid of, if it fits i'll keep, if not i'll throw in the scrap lol

Does a sprocket (rim) off a 261 fit an older 026 fitted with spur? The 026 is an adjustable oiler etc Cheers

Thing is though you need to be on top of the job aswell with power of saw! I have no loader so most of time ring all wood up. For what i sold my 088 for i should have just kept it

I take it stihl red mineral not liked anymore ... Not far off finishing mine now... Stihl green or husky low smoke for me soon i think, is the low smoke fully synth aswell?

Lets hope theres no long lasting issues from poor servicing! No or lack of oil is a serious issue... get on the phone and get them to pick it up and.rectify it!

I was offered an old 12x6 ifor tipper 3.5t an was told it weighed 1350kg unladen

Look at the kerb weights first. Someone was telling me the other day that the 3.5 t one was a lot heavier for not much more payload! So have. Look into it

There's a couple of folk on bere using normal veg oil with no problems. The thing is you can always get info off here, but you need to try for yourself not just be sheep. I'm using just veggie oil at the moment, had some big jobs on in the last month with lots of cutting, no problems here. Empty oil tank.and swill with fuel then top up with veg oil and away

My saws are cleaner now then ever... dont know what your issue is. I emptied mineral oil out, swilled tank with petrol then topped up with new.oil when i started.
