found aux belt on the ground,investigated and noticed pulley had shifted,engine is running fine

not cam belt, aux belt,ie alternator etc

my mate has a problem with the crank pulley,ie the pulley has slipped and moved inwards,no engine noises and hasnt caused any damage other than a broken belt, he has been quoted a £1000 to fix ?? anyone had similar problem and did it cost this much ?? seems a lot to me

thanks for all the replies and advice,i always keep the guns serviced so as you all say it is the cold gas,all my feather edge was frozen together this week also and had to replace a few rails due to splitting on the frozen ends,finished my glut of closeboard now for a week or so,back on knee rail for next few jobs, nail guns can have a warm up in the kitchen!!

been having problems with my nail gun this past week, as in it not firing,been working in -1 to 1 above,was wondering if cold weather will mess with the gas??

agree ms 181 is very under powered, ok for ending rails and very light firewood cutting etc i use a husky 268 and 272 for all my firewood, a bit heavy but then again its a hard old life anyway !

i had many problems with bt, i changed to sky bb and so far has been very good, cheaper too with the tv package aswell, im like you, i dont like change but i havent regretted the change over -

good way of making a secure and strong fence,albeit not the most attractive way of doing it, but if done correctly the concrete spurs will be there for a lifetime, only problems i have come across is getting the old bolts out of the spur, good luck

i cant for the life of me start a big saw on the ground,i always drop start my 281/288jonsered 2077 without decomps and have no problems, even my old dolmar 153 was drop started

hi steve,picked up a 575 xp that was rebuilt with new p+p, i cant get it to start, fires on choke but wont do anything more than that,set carb to 1 and 1 , is getting fuel, but found this site saying that h setting is 3 turns out and one and a half on the low, is this right ? cheers mike

just found a site with initial carb settings for husky saws,and it states that for a 575 xp,initial settings should be H 3 L 1/1/2(ONE AND A HALF) seems very high H setting to me
