    damn good saws in their day,my avatar is a 153,133 is 85cc i think,bomb proof saws,well built but parts are hard to get now,keep an an eye out on the bay for parts,maybe even grab them even if you dont need them,always good to have back up bits

  5. i use a hitachi nr 90 same as a a paslode ,great bit of kit, my closeboard fencing comes in fits and starts so it suits me fine, fairly light,easy to service, takes non brand nails and gas, 2 batteries as standard, only problem ive had is with cold gas, but as others have said keep one warm and swap when they stop working, easier to load nails than a paslode too, maybe you could get a demo of a paslode to see what you think, i use mine in all aspects for closeboard, 90 mm nails for rails and cleats,63mm for gravel boards,and 50mm fot the feather edge

  8. you could try a series of drains, get a petrol auger with 4" bit,auger out a series of holes and fill with pea gravel,would be a cheap way to try,if it dosent work,will only cost a few quid,hopefully it will help if not solve the problem

  10. apart from sunday roast, the day is just another day to me,if ive got to work,ill work,just maybe a bit later start,planes,cars etc dont stop just becoz its sunday,may have some cleft chestnut fencing to do in a churchyard soon,hope the big man upstairs wont mind me working on a sunday,as it is sort of for him !!! lol

    the "firmahold" gas states that it has the lubricant in with it,so hoping all will be well,cheers mate

    thanks all, have got some "firmahold" brand from screwfix, seems ok,nails are good too, and cheaper than paslode etc

    will nailer gas still work if its out of date,i have 2 tubes that are fairly old ,say 2 years,both seem to be at least half full,nailer playing about yesterday,put a known new gas in and all was fine, ive probably answered this myself:001_rolleyes: just wondering if anyone has had similar issues, cheers
  16. dont think ive ever had a pair of gloves that will stop a blackthorn or a firethorn,they hurt bad when they go in and continue to hurt for days, had a hawthorn in knuckle, came out about six months later along with some green goo !

  20. ive got the jonsered equivilent of the husky xt, very comfortable, takes a bit of fettling to get it right but once you have got it right,dont know you have brushcutter on,same as you, wont go back to other harness now

  25. used to have a hi crack, great bit of kit, stalled our ford 6600 on a gnarly old bit of ash once or twice, make sure you get a few spare cone ends as they become blunt over time
