  1. im in the process of making one, going to make a tripod with one of those ratchet pullers,cant see why it wouldnt work
  2. never seen them, there are chink copies of husky 365 that are very convincing, i was looking at the 2171 for £599, VERY TEMPTED
  3. they must be working at a loss for that money,wouldnt bother getting out of bed for less than £45 p/m, 1.8 m is £60 p/m round my way, clearance and disposal extra
  4. i use a 2150, great all round saw,not pro but a good saw all the same,buy it at that price!!

  6. my dolmar 9000 (makita 9010) had solid nose bar, put a sprock nose on and it transformed the saw, 30 inch, pulled it well

  8. Sounds about right at that price, you have to collect materials etc, barrow in the soil all takes time.

  12. i do domestic and commercial stuff, always have a genny with me for running breaker etc, so running compressor is no problem,just dont like leads and hoses everywhere,i like the portability of the gas nailers, cheers
  13. Having many problems with my gas nailer (Hitachi) it has done a LOT of work,so time for a new one. Anyone use the new Dewalt 18v no gas nailer,any pros and cons ? Cheers Mike

  15. thanks mate,by definition then you could create a flat spot by winding in L screw ?
  16. steve, what do you do to get rid of flat spot,have the same on one of my saws

  18. did you buy your saw from a dealer as there has been a lot on ebay lately that are chinese copies
  19. ash does seem to suck the oil from the chain,wonder sometimes if my saw is oiling properly
  20. fence all year round,as said before,put it in/up correctly shouldnt go to far, ive had no complaints in the last 16 years or so
  21. ive seen a 3 foot bowl turned out of a bit of old wellingtonia,split after about a year tho
  22. prob a 266 , dont think a 262g ever existed,this will be an oldish model,as newer saws are xpg cheers
  23. i bought a jonsered 2077 from ebay ,£60,fired straight up,put new chain on,what a saw,also a 281xp,£100, again new chain, all good , happy days

    Dolmar saw?

    heard good things about the new dolmars,jonsered are virtually the same as husq ,apart from straight front handle and recoil position, biggest jonny in the uk is 2171,which is a husq 372 in red clothes, i had a dolmar 9010,big heavy but torquey saw,ok for odd fell and ringing big wood,built like a tank,but would have 385/390 husq in preference,hope this helps a bit mike
