  4. haha it does exist, but i don't think many people, if any, use it nowadays for the above reason.
  5. "wound paint" is discouraged as it can create a micro climate which actually promotes the spread of decay fungi.
  6. good luck with your assessment, just take your time and always remember safety precautions ie escape routes, chain brake when moving with the saw etc etc
  7. cheers, i did indeed find the fungi under dense sycamores in deep dark woodland! another new find for me

  10. the first 3 pics look like a bolete species, the 4th is Amantia muscaria (fly agaric) cant help further than that!

  15. i love my Stein Bergsteigers, had them for about a year now and still have plenty of life in em. waterproof, comfortable and tough!

  17. Amantia muscaria Piptoporus betulinus Trametes spp Fistulina hepatica (new species for me!) Having good fun with this comp, im trying my best to use natural light so the tripod has been out on a couple of occasions. i'm enjoying learning new photography skills as well as becoming familiar with new fungi species.
