  1. So did i i thought it was some west country speak! Was only last month i relised it was Mendip logs, A MENDI PLOGS sounds like someone who abuses cider!
  2. My muck spreader has a good crop of nettles growing in it!
  3. just a thought is the choke mechanism working corectlly, they have a choke flap in the airfilter.
  4. so if it starts on the next pull when upright it has not run out of fuel in the carb, did this fault happen all of a sudden or gradually or after servicing the saw?
  5. does it die, even with the fuel tank full? is it lack of fuel or to much fuel, when it cuts out? Have you tried a different carb?
  6. Fantastic machine owned one for two years, put about 800 tons of timber through it, and all it,s needed is new crimps on the infeed belt cost 10 pounds and just had the the blade sharpened, they are well built and reliable, i,m pleased i bought a Posch and not a lesser machine.
  7. Where about,s is the wood? and how much a ton?
  8. I think it is way over priced and vat to add as well, grab is an old hiab clamshell type and look at the pipes. I wouldn't pay more than 4500 pounds for it so i Guess i will not be buying it! But i guess it maybe someones fantasy?
  9. Zetor bit,s arrived today, so it,s back together and running only took 2 hours! they are a simple engine and having separate heads makes it even easier. It,s running much smoother. Going give it some work to do in my own woods tomorrow to make sure everything is ok.
  10. Zetor tractor, dropped number 1 cylinder on inspection found both pushrods bent! No valve to piston contact but lots of carbon build up on piston/head/valves and valve stem. S o what has caused both pushrods to bend? Took all the cylinder heads off and they had been running spot on just number has the problem, so a lot of carbon build up before the pushrod problem, valves on number 1 weren't seating very well and the previous owner used to leave it ticking over for long periods. I,ve cleaned all the carbon and lapped in all the valves, getting new pushrods/injector and a headset tomorrow, so hopefully it should running tomorrow.
  11. Excellent machine, hired one a few times, try hiring one for a few jobs and see if you likey before you buy,It,s a pro machine not a hobby machine, the cs100 will help you make money and you can always get a road towable in the future if work dictates.
  12. Been looking at Bruks chippers, would like to know if anyone has used or owed one and are they a good machine and which engine did it have? cheers Mark.[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCz1Mez8U18]ROTTNE F18 med BRUKS 805.2 på Elmia Bioenergy maj 2010 - YouTube[/ame]

  14. Here is some chip from our Junkkari. They seem to work really well with sharp blades and anvil and because they are adjustable for different size chip you need to adjust and set the blades and anvil, maybe they are better suited to producing biomass from nice straight softwood. coffee mug is for perspective.
  15. there is one on ebay, he,s in Greece his ebay name is something like Dandikop i have bought from him a number of times and he,s ok.
  16. I,m guessing you will need wellies! Durham County Vintage Collectors Society - Events

  18. Little Ian Bell fell in to the River Wear 10 days a go when it was in flood, today his body has been found 3 miles downstream, i hope his parents and grandparents can rest after 10 days of searching, and start grieving now, so sad when a friend loses a child.
  19. here are a few, i,ve sharpened the blades squared up the anvil, and adjusted all the clearences and it chips really well now, and i,m very happy with it, wood in the back chip out the top, spot on, blades and anvil are adjustable to alter the size of chip and the speed of chipping.
  20. Looks like a big orange shoe box with a bar and chain so it must be genuine
