  2. I started at age 48! with a cronic fatigue illness, i work at my speed love the work.

  8. it,s all down to your out goings and your lifestyle, my morgage is paid off and i have no loans and we live a simple but good life, spend lots of time with my family and our 4 horses, plus we have 220 acres of woodland to harvest our firewood from and we only scratch a living but we have a great quailty of life and would not swap it, to be a wage slave!
  9. another hose, just take the old one for them to copy from. any hydraulic hose place will sort you out.
  10. I'm looking to buy another digger, i,ve got a case 580f at the moment, i only really use it to do jobs around my own land and it has serious engine problems again. I,m thinking maybe a 360 around 5, tons or a jcb 3cx or a ford 555 or another more modern case but if it's wheeled must be 4x4, what have any of you got for sale? looking to pay a max of 6000 pounds. Mark.

  14. you need 2 men 2 tractors and forwarding trailers on that job, or a big loading shovel with a massive timber grab.

  17. Yes i,ve got proper plates for it now, the black plates were fitted by the last owner.

  19. Hi Jon i've no idea what weight the trailer will carry? crane is 500kg at 5 metres. 1.5 tons close in, you can take 100kgs off for the weight of the grab. So how much do you think is on the trailer, it,s fresh cut Larch, length is 3 metre .
  20. The first full day of work for the timber trailer i got off Steve Genset, worked perfect didn't have to lay a spanner on it!
  21. Spent the last 3 days fitting an engine in to my digger, i took the engine out of a David Brown 995 and had to swap bellhousing, flywheel, clutch to torque convertor, sump, manifolds, change all the timing gears so they would match the power steering pump gear and lots of other little pieces. Just got to cure a leak on the back arm and sort out a windscreen. I can start digging my swimming pond now
  22. has it lost a ring peg? or a screw from the choke flap,damage could be old damage and someone has stuck a set of rings in it without cleaning the crankcases out.
