  1. we have subbed to a similar big outfit for over ten years our advice is don't be too dependent on them, fit it in over and above your normal work load do not turn down work to accommodate them, and keep on top of what money they owe you. We are on 60 day payment terms officially but can be up to 90 (as they can't find 2 cheque signatories wtf)Be prepared for the work to dry up any time, there are no guarantees in this game. Do all this and you will be quids in!

  4. Rotatech wont have helped it, had this on the 1st rotatech chain i tried on an oregon bar, chain oiler on max as well. I ditched the rest of the R chains as soon as and went back to Stihl and Oregon chains no problems since.
  5. No experience with it. other than we took 2 Sycamores down on a wet wind day and the neighbour 2 doors down spent 2 days hoovering the sawdust out of it. Not good news, but looks like your about to be raped.

    clearance saw

After noon, What is the going rate to charge for use of a man and a clearance saw, per hour or day rate. And what clearance saw/blade combination would you recommend I have just looked at a job 15 ha of 1-10 yr old sitka regrowth to be cleared, leaving the established planted native trees. Sitka to be cut and left on site no chipping required, just not on the retained trees. The ground is a previously clear felled site with stumps/brashmats etc so not suitable for machinery so looks like a manpower job.
  12. The usual nightmare. Were they they there when he bought the house, probably yes. Are they his trees, are they on the development common ground, or are they a third parties and if so would they give him permission to cut their trees. Had this many times, never an easy answer.
  13. Looks more like Beech to me def not Ash,is all the help I can be
  14. Nope think it was Matty F
  15. Rich, what are the benifit's of the HAAS over a home made one, other than a longer bungee, so less chance of a slack point
  16. Was thinking that way but wondering of the benefits of the HAAS
  17. Anyone with experience of the Stein ascender at £80 ish or better off with the HAAS Velux at twice the price. Aim is use it with double rope and in future may move to SRT. Already got the foot ascender
