  1. Cheers Tony, i thought it would be ok but didnt want to assume
  2. Will myself and Dan be allowed to do the work climb SRT with our unicenders?
  3. Good point, some users will prefer a different type system
  4. Just a thought that popped into my head this morning, so how come the HH hasnt had as much phenomenal success as the zigzag, uni and rope wrench?? Just thinking about the RW hype before it went to market which the HH never really had??
  5. Nicely done:thumbup1:
  6. Id start with a rope wrench as its the cheapest SRTWP system and can quickly be removed to turn the system back to DRT. I cannot say how much a hitch hiker is but im sure old mills will answer that for me. As for the uni ive been using mine for 3 days solid and with a chest harness limbwalking back is stupidly fast, Returning from a limbwalk you can either slack tend like DRT or hold tension in the line below and use your hand or LOTS to drive the system up the line.
  7. Sorting out kit for testing (ufo, light rigging crabs, rope grab, swivel and heavy rigging crabs) and a bundle of crabs.
  8. Today fell, removed because the roots were effecting the electric sub station. Line up, winch tensioned and fell,
  9. Mine sits about 1cm above the hitch, i agree with what your saying though a twig can sometimes annoy. But i find it so much better being a tight system.
  10. The redirects are always the clincher
  11. David, i know you were talking about using the 2 side points as attachments. If the cam failed where would you stand from a legal point? Because you werent using the recommended attachment point. Also and excuse me if im wrong but does your dual hand ascender in its manual speak of single rope use and double or just double?
  12. I cannot see it being any different to using a double fishermans with shrink wrap.... But then again im one of those naughty climbers who use a unicender now to tell myself off im ordering dominos :001_tongue:
  13. But surely the tether is not a life supporting bit adam?? yes the hitch is but like the RW there is no risk of injury or death if the tether fails?
  14. I believe hes giving them all to dan to bring in his kit bag. I think hes making jack price one too.
  15. Cool, i'll pop the norwich one in the diary.
  16. tie a throwline into the bight
  17. yeah hand under hand and its easy peasy.
  18. Not needed for smaller hauls but add a hand ascender and footloop for long ones
  19. Because not many of us can read above the level of "The Hungry Caterpillar"
  20. Its just a big hiab.
  21. So i noticed a lot of people asking questions wondering how SRTWP (single rope work positioning) works, redirect setups, configurations, reviews and types of systems. So feel free to post a question and im sure someone will be able to answer your question.
  22. Cheers Mark, because im doing less climbing now i get more time to think of how i could make the job 10 minutes longer by setting up a camera Could you tell id been on a 6hr camera course when i was 12
  23. its here!!!!! Excited and nervous about using it for the first time as i imagine its going to have it 5p to 50p moments. But i see how fluid it is so with a large dash of practice and a few changes of underwear i might get it honed in.
  24. Im about to launch 2 more websites but heres some of the design layout.
  25. In fairness to Jesse, there was nothing mentioned about FB's when he posted so he was going on it was a perfect tree being reduced, which i think most would of looked and possibly thought the same. Id of applied for a reduction if i was advising the client if the risk of end weight causing branch failure near a active footpath.
