  1. I think the questions been answered fully so all thats left to say is Welcome to the SRT club and if you want more info come to jonsies show as theres a shed load of srt setups being shown.
  2. 2 slings with dmm revolvers and a single crab to get the top point if required. Chest loop and crab, i think thats it really.
  3. We will have an array of base anchor setups too from non rescue through to the AB's and Gri gris.
  4. You've changed man, you've changed.
  5. Try the rope wrench feedback thread. Or use the search bar in the top, theres lots about on youtube.
  6. to be safe like a length of climbing line say 3m
  7. Yeah i got some guy from rolls royce to splice it. Wolfman id say no less than 10mm imo.
  8. It works well too Sam. Ive got some extra line i use now for it.
  9. Adam, we can get the gopros out and do some filming, i know me and dan are thinking of variations for in the tree rescue and 2 guys single line rescue after discussing it with Mat Shute (Gibbon)
  10. 2nd picture down is awesome Reg.
  11. Here you go with added pigeon noise [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3_7_nx04EA&feature=c4-overview&list=UUpqYlXvDsM3B8igtSa-saHA]SRT Re-direct Close Up - YouTube[/ame]
  12. hope this is a bit easier to follow [ame] [/ame]
  13. Cool, never seen that one, i'll get a close up tomorrow. The sling definitely makes the one i did a lot quicker to retrieve
  14. I hated mine, even after i got yvonne from clarks to adjust it. For me it sat too high on my head and pinched the back of my neck. Ear defenders are only rated for a saw not chipper imo. The concept is great to be fair but it is very bulky and 1/3 larger than a petzl.
  15. i'll take a step by step tomorrow
  16. There are 2 spelling mistakes at the end Original and Johnson. My bad but i cant be bothered to edit it
  17. So in SRT retrievable have always been a problem, well until now. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLhCq3iCO0w]Retrievale Re-direct: In SRT - YouTube[/ame]
  18. As promised the "Johnson" [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLhCq3iCO0w]Retrievale Re-direct: In SRT - YouTube[/ame]
  19. This made me chuckle a lot.

  21. so a kiddies sthil chainsaw wont cut down real trees!!!! Well said imo andy and steve.
  22. Until i film it theres nothing on record, so this week i'll get it on film and how to tie it/demo.
  23. Ok, I'll start with terminations, i like for top tie a running bowline with enough tail to tie a double fishermans on the main line. Although mostly i base anchor and advance my tip point with a redirect, currently using the johnson (today) as it retrievable. Moving past a branch you can either climb on or use rope pendulum to pass it or an elbow or foot to push away, much like in ddrt. Limb walking, with the lj/rw i normally take a hand on the rw whilst clearing slack from beneath as i walk in or if you like build a 3-1. It takes a bit of getting used to especially after years of ddrt. As for rope choice, i loved kern and tachyon with a wrench. But its as usual down to climber preference. Hope this helps and feel free to ask more questions. Oh and welcome to the srtwp club
