  1. I think thats a little out of order because how do you know they dont have qualifications in planning and development? Im making assumptions from the user name but think he might be a she? Planning is a vast area and not only involving trees, have you seen how small trees are within the town and country planning act?? I deal with a lot of non arb qualified planners in local authority work, occasionally you get a query but as they learn the job they get a lot better. Its like starting at anything you learn through mistakes.

  3. So im close to buying a small u900 mog as i need something with more diversity than the transit. A bit random but where do you guys insure them? I know of 1 place but would rather have a list of insurers to get a better deal. Cheers, Ian
  4. Seven and a half ours of solid carving...... A domed out chair in the welly we felled last week. Must say creating it was harder than i thought it was going to be. Also finally got over to do the final once over on the tree house or stump house. Had a meeting with the council so they could check it was within the planning regs or just outside

  6. If using 11mm i use the wrap over fully compress and let my hand allow payout. 11.7mm i'll just use my had to open up the cam. If im standing and need to paysome out just open it up, pull some slack and jobs a good un. Spoke to Ben about 30mins ago, he said it was pretty good.

We spent friday winching the timber into position for milling and removing the smaller dia timber. 6t of chip 4t of smaller wood 7t of wood left to mill currently 1.5t of sawdust, twigs and bits of bark. Got all of monday to carve it as im thinking its going to take me a full 8hrs to get it domed out and measured up. Just need to arrange getting the lucas mill on site to do the timber.

  17. The same as any system really, learn low and slow. It can be sporty just like a lockjack, spiderjack or the ill fated zigzag.

  21. Its okay as i have lots of lines to use up. I still think in my opinion its the best bit of kit out for srtwp.
