  1. ok, public liabiltiy to whatever you decide, i started with 2,000,000 then after the 1st year went to 5,000,000 professional indemnity (only required if you give advice (reports really)). Some hire companies require you have hire plant insured within your public liability. simples

  3. hmmm after having the same problem as rob i went to the sthil hd filter which stops the sawdust but i have also noticed that the power is reduced and the saw seems more inclined to want to stop.....

  7. Never heard of them but looks ok if you want to run an electrice sawmill. I would personally save a bit more and buy a trailer mounted one becuse it opens a bigger market up to you.
  8. next time i would like to see the fuel can closer and a box of matches too, crash and burn:lol:
  9. Close to the old fuel can?
  10. pests of ornamental trees, shrubs and flowers - david v alford maunal of wood decay, stupsi explains a tree etc - most mattheck books are good and with pictures means even i can understand it. trees in britain - roger phillips 9has pictures of real leaves not drawings, and a leaf index at the start. 14. Rob, what size GB bars do you stock?
  15. Simple answer is yes. Equipment is very expensive, some kit i buy new, some secondhand. Money is cheap at the momet for finance but remember this if work slows up you've still got to make the payments. I personally would rather hire for a bit longer then buy the kit out right. I know some kit is very expensive like bigger chippers so only you can make the decision to buy on finance.
  16. Now i've been pondering for a while now on if i buy an Cannon bar or a GB bar. I know they are more expensive but i am thinking for a bar which gets used daily is it worth spending a bit more? Or should i just stick with the Sthil, Husq or Oregon bars. So what im asking is has anyone bought a Cannon or GB bar and whats their verdict?
  17. Did a re-pollard. and just a pic of me working if found.
  18. Know about this. Priced a job, called the La about a Tpo? (none on site), did a site next door then over the weekend a tpo was served. Always pays to check the day before. (with the client and the La)

  20. Yes its fun, so does the slinger too.
  21. Spider mite by the looks of things or maybe aphid. The patterning doesn't look like if some one cut too hard, more bug like.
  22. He did say it was nearly new:laugh1:
  23. Just thinking about this 'leaves' too many variables to be accurate. I don't think it would work as with most things two people carrying out a best guess of height, spread and measuring stems would lead to two different results. If you spent ages getting all the data spot on within a mm then you would take far to long to make any profit. Just my opinion as i had discussed this with a couple of people after watching those Nosak tree videos...
  24. CINCH Belay Device It cost me a lot less than the clinch and its not the swivel positoiner (even cheaper) so i still had money to got for a brecky at the cafe:thumbup:
