  1. I moisture tested an old broom handle that hadn't seen the light of day for years and it read 16% which says to me that timber resorts back to the amount of moisture in the atmosphere where its stacked, which makes no sense to me to kiln dry it down to 8% then stack in a barn etc where its around 16%. Technically I'm probably completely wrong and stand to be corrected.

  9. Reading through the lines you have erected plenty of fencing , but not for yourself but a company you work for? . Me personally am a sole trader which means that out of my pricing my mortgage/gas, electric. pick up. car, food.clothing.beer. machinery maintenance and renewal, and prostitute bills all have to be included in my pricing.

  11. Has the old fence got to be cleared by the contractor, any stumps/old concrete posts in the fence line? hard or softwood posts? Have you got it right as in 8ft high?

When I repair land drains across fields I can go down around 2 ft looking for pipes and the roots of mairs tail are still not visible. you can spray it with glyphosate with a wetting agent and think you.ve got it, but up it comes again next year, funnily enough it does not seem to spread to much.

  18. Try jump starting it, if that don't work chances are your battery has failed a cell or two , the computer etc wont allow the engine to fire unless the battery is 100%.

  21. Just out of interest, whats the going rate per acre in devon, here in Bedfordshire small plots of non building land ( under 10 acres) are fetching £30,000 an acre.
