    Bed

after a big crane job the previous day, decided to take a day out and make a bed for one of my lads who has worked for me for a few yrs, hes moving house so thought it was time to give him something back, a good joint effort, and a good use of some of big J`s elm Ive had for a while. (the legs are oak, side rails reclaimed floor joists, and sequoia slats.
  6. hi mate, I`ve just finnished this car port at the front of my new place, I had to apply for planning permission,as it was technically at the front of the property, they gave it too me with a few restrictions, 3.6max ridge height, timber framed, and new hedge to be planted to screen from neighbours, exsisting road side greenary to be retained, and they slapped a tpo on a small(25ft )scotts pine,,,none of these restrictions bothered me,,so they dont always say no:thumbup1:
  7. I second this opionion, my elu was a rock before it got nicked, now use a dewalt, use the 1/4 for smaller stuff, but think a 1/2 would have more grunt for bigger door rebates etc,,,

  16. Got asked by a friend to make a memorial bench for her brother who passed away at the early age of 43, he was a big cricket fan and played for local club, she wanted something a little different, so made this up, all the timber came from various arbtalkers, the bat was cedar, and the ball and stand wellingtonia, the ball was 2ft round and my first bit of turning on my new lathe.(quite daunting)
