  8. Only ever used a stihl never found anything wrong with them plus easy to get spares parts etc for but my brushcutter knkowlage is limited. sorry.
  9. I think if you get a brushcutting job its normally a big one they are always handy to have around to. Think alot of people who are involved in forestry management get alot of brushcutting jobs. If you have a tree surgery company or work for yourself yes its worth geting one IMO
  10. Unbelivable sorry to hear that fella.
  11. Thats why I think apprenterships are a good scheme you get the nitty gritty day to day work and then go to college and see how slow and easy life there is. I discovered pretty early on that work is different to colelge in so many different ways.
  12. how brutal:001_rolleyes: Think I saw some horrible kcikboxing accident on youtube but it realy is a horrible sight so thought best no to post literrally snaps his leg pretty grim. Give some respect to the nutters who do it though

  16. again if you want to make it in this industry and in modern lif you gotta except that us young people already have a misconception upon us all you got to do is read the papers and you see why. When I walk to th shops or something similar alot of people wont saying hello or good morning because Im a young person but I still try and smile I agree its not fair but life in't fair. Youll get your brake mate just keep trying an prove yourself
  17. Its a forum mate its all opinions and you got to repsect that and respect the rues of the forum when posting. And with respect to you, you can have all the expeirence and tickets and right working attitude but if youtalk to future employers like that just for expressig an opinion you aint gonna be around for long. I will wish all the young uns good luck in finding work and all the old uns finding the good young uns:001_tt2:
  18. Im doing an apprenership now and on paper it sounds wort itto be honest it souns lie you maybe on about the sme college as me. I get £125 pw on books and minimum wage is 95 a week. But its all down to you opinion of him how much you thnk he is worth. I get paid at college but maybe you might think if I pay him more then I wont pay him at college times etc. Your suppose to buy him PPE etc as he will be an employee. Im being a bit vaugue as I dont want to post to much onpublic views but if you want t know more give me a PM.
  19. £3.53 isn't a bad wage Without tickets im geting less with experiene and cs30 and anothr chance at a reassemet 31. Dont trnish us all with the same brush I hate slackers and hate doll and benifit scroungers. Im sure youu'll find a young un soon mick if not wait til I pass my diving test and give me a shout:001_tt2:
  20. Got to liste to emilys heart from the kings and queensalbum great!
  21. Pull your self together man:001_tt2: I know how you feel Im struggling with the industry in all I find myself taking 2 step forawrd and 1 back im slowly making progress but others just seem to do it so much quicker and beter than me. An example a lad joined up started doing work experience because he hated uni and wanted to work anywhere and realy enjoyed it, he put the graft in took out more of a loan and paid for his tickets after a month maybe two in the industry and while training for his 30/31 it was about the 3rd time he had touched a saw and he passed it and allcredit to the lad I realy like him and he deserves it but ive been using a sw and felling for 4-5 months before I went for my asesemnet and I failed it. Anyhow stick at it mate im sure theres a few computer nerds here that can help you out if stuck. good luck:thumbup1:
  22. I think your wrong there if you have your NPTC's then your compotent you have 38-41 doesnt make you skilled but you mix them tickets with experience your skilled but spending three years in uni and hardly any in the 'real' world isnt the same IMO
  23. Simple take them out for a week being a groundie hard work and skillful aint what you get on your average job. at least you get to appeal.
  24. what so succesfully shapping an oak tree and making it look nice isnt skill??? Are these people who determine your pay rise actually arborists? Or ex arborist behind a desk with a huge pay check?
  25. I personally dont see the point of the gym my fitness went out the window when I discovered women, alcahol and ciggerates but Im sure I could lift more than I could back then
