  1. Agreed, alcohol was a massive thing to give up for me. Havnt drank for over 2 weeks now and iv still got 12 beers in the fridge so I'm stoked that iv managed not to be tempted by them.
  2. Far out!!! Great quick thinking and glad your okay.
  3. Second that but I use 20g per litre. Molasses is also amazing.
  4. Hope your charging for your advice, otherwise you might be better off putting your energy elsewhere. I don't think you've missed anything from what you can do but this is a battle that could last years that your now stuck in the middle of. As soon as she gets a response from the council your her first call.
  5. Had my 3 week weigh in this week. Weight loss wasn't my goal but if it were to happen it would be a bonus, I was more interested in other benefits like more energy and so on. Anyway after weighing I'd lost 5kgs in 3 weeks without even trying, never going hungry and feel the best I have in years, can't beleive it. I know weigh less than I did 5 years ago. I messed my body up by bulking up for rugby and struggled like hell to put it on. Once I got to where I wanted I moved to Aus and never needed the excess weight any more and have tried (not very hard) for 4 years to get rid of it. Would highly recommend this way of life to people if your interested, you don't know until you try. How's every one else going? You back on it? Jake
  6. Takes good patience to do that type of pruning IMO.
  7. When researching you'll realise it's a fairly easy task to carry out, but the main problem I had was finding stock and parts. American standards has a paper on it I beleive so that may be a good source to read from, they do a lot of it over there. Good luck and post pics if you get the go ahead.
  8. Looks like a great job to me, still natural looking and a vast improvement on how it looked before. Hopefully it can now grow on in a more natural form without much harsh maintanance practises.
  9. Second that I'm not strictly Paleo but I'm doing a variation of it I guess (still eating dairy) whatever works for you is great, but this is so far working for me and it's not that difficult to be honest. Just need to be prepared and don't get caught out not having anything to eat. Went to an engagement party on Saturday night and I did feel very anti social, wouldn't eat, and would only drink 2 light beers and wife was on tap water. We're hoping to get to a stage that we can be as good as possible until there is a time we can kick back (like a meal, party or gathering) but I'm a week I to the 3 week trial and don't want to sabotage the results.
  10. We never prune the tree when transplanting. Tree will go into transplant shock no matter what care you take with it however, depending on the prep and care before the move, that's the difference between survival and death IMO. Oaks tend to transplant well, I'm assuming this limb will be in the way of the transplant process or is it for aesthetics? Cut the roots to the parameter of your root ball as soon as possible and lay down mulch and pea straw as organic matter. If done well you can see new root growth when being moved. I'd also go with fazing out the limb with a reduction process, this can be as long as you and the client want. Maybe reduce now and then the next faze a year after the move or something like that.
  11. Soooo, iv found the working week generally easy as there is little temptation at the top of trees. Weekends are something totally different though, temptation everywhere. Havnt caved yet but the cakes in the cafe have never looked so good. There is also very little choice at malls and General shopping precincts which doesn't help, I am feeling better and am loving the non bloated feeling after eating. Wife's looking good also
  12. I beleive Gristwood and Toms have just taken on the Bristol contract too. I used to be on that contract with Fountains. I thought they went bust?
  13. That's awesome, any downsides to the BDB to report? Single lining really comes into its own for pruning eh!
  14. Nicely done Rich, loved the camera angles and the rings mate. Still loving the bone?
  15. Bark looks like Angophora costata but a pick of leaves and gum nuts would help.
  16. Hey Ben, just started actually. Wife is doing it for weight loss reasons and the more I read about it, the more it makes sense to me. Iv put on a lot since Christmas so at least looking to shed that. Just going through the restless, no energy stage. Also feeling really hungry so looking forward to that passing. Hoping for a change in energy levels and just better health to be honest.
  17. Do you really need 16mm? I'd go for something smaller if running through hardware and not doing massive stuff. They've got a pretty good wll the smaller ropes.
  18. Yeh, MA should be the same as double rope I think.
  19. Why would it differ from young trees, why are you injecting, what are you injecting with, sometimes you might have to be cruel to be kind.
  20. I can throw accurate upto 20m, but can throw 30m plus on a good day using one hand.I use dyna glide and know what you mean about it being sandpaper, my index finger takes burns weekly.
  21. Do people double bag frequently or pull out and start again?
  22. Really, i only throw 16oz. Never got on with anything less as I was getting stuck every other day. I know what you mean about the Faltheimers Jesse but I just can't justify the cost at the minute. My old Stein has lasted 2 and a half years but has recently been replaced with another Stein. All depends how well you treat it IMO
