  1. Thanks a lot guys, means a lot. There was a lot of ball raisingmoments on this removal I must admit. We strapped the 2 limbs together as they were moving a lot without loading them. In the end it was probably more of a psychological strap but still worked.
  2. Your not mistaken, all 60 meters of it ;-)
  3. Nothing as good as the last I'm afraid. Just lost a lot of data just before Xmas and I'm slowly recovering some of it.
  4. The first one was obviously a still frame from the go pro, came out well. Other 2 were shots of me taken by sedgmoore tree on here, right place right time. I all ways like the unplanned action shots the best.
  5. Haaaaa luckily the customer understood what damage was to incur. It was near woodland scrub and tbh, the avant made more mess than the logs. Messy job at a messy time of year.
  6. Same job but different tree. Had 6 over mature cypress and a cedar to remove.
  7. Cheers silky, this was the first time we used SENA'S properly and they were amazing.
  8. Cheers Gerbutt, the rope was fine as we used pinto rigs for anything decent, they took a hammering though.
  9. It was a great way to end the year on a high Steve.
  10. Removed this Cedar just before Christmas, just under the tree is a 2 meter high listed wall, hence the zip line. Hope you enjoy. [youtube=youtube;_0vPODRiwfU]_0vPODRiwfU
  11. Yeh iv just bought these spurs after leaving my bashin in OZ. had to buy the long gaffs for them as they kept slipping out and at £50 for long gaffs there not cheap. It's helped a lot but I'm still not overly impressed with them. seems you have to really lean back to get them to sink in and stamp them in as well. on a plus there comfy.
  12. Will we be required to climb both days or is it two comps on two days? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  13. Good on ya for getting back on it Steve. Since coming back from Australia iv fallen off the wagon with meeting up with mates at pubs and chocolates sooooo cheap here in supermarkets it's easy to eat crap. I'm going back on it as im feeling bad, sluggish and constantly tired. Need to get my motivation back. I'm doing tough mudder in 3 weeks and iv not trained once through lack of motivation. Time to make a change........ again Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  14. In a bag for me too for the long rope. Small 20m rope gets coiled and put in the climbing bag. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  15. In O.Z we used to sterilise with bleach. A few pumps in and out of a bucket after each job and clean with a few squires of water. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  16. Tree worker sell it I believe. Give them a call and see if they have any in stock. No idea on price though. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  17. Agreed but the more options a caretaker has, the better the education decision he can make. Cobra is expensive and comes with ongoing maintenance, bit not enough people try and sell IMO. How do people know it's too expensive if they aren't informed of it. Oh and I would usually tip prune before putting in Cobra any way, just as a precautionary measure. 18. If its dropping limbs he's worried about, then cobra cables could be used for peace of mind. They can limit the damage if they do break and hold the 'butt' in the air. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  19. Same as Ian said. If you gingerly try and sit back in it, it won't grab. Have trust in the equipment (low and slow) and let go of your rope. It should grab nice and sharp. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  20. Just a few from this year. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  21. Any idea of price Adam? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
