I certainly am. I find it immensely irritating when sweeping generalisations are made about such a large group of people (50% of the worlds population work the land), and usually these are repetitions of stereotypical, unfounded opinions. Yes there are rich farmers, there are also farmers who struggle their whole lives, never gaining much other than physical and mental damage. People see the big house in the countryside and the shiny tractors, not realising in a lot of cases these things aren't owned, they're financed or helped by subsidies (the £48bn spilt between the roughly 300,000 farms doesn't buy a whole new tractor these days, let alone set anyone up for life as you may see it albedo) I am a farmers son, I haven't been given a yard or splitter. The most useful thing I've gained from my family is the mentality and ability to graft day in, day out.

This is getting confusing, the wrench in the article is a ZK1 with a metal tether. I think drew is getting at using a ring spanner as a diy metal tether. Maybe the ZK2 will come with a metal one. Oldmill, I doubt it could be one piece as that would hinder the neutral gear, ie, the wrench would be in descent position full time, making ascending very difficult

Yeah, they're lovely so far, comfy out the box. The tread seemed a bit hard at first though, kinda greasy on hard surfaces. Just hope they don't spring a leak!

There was a link posted a few weeks ago for Kev Binghams article in Arb Climber issue 2, but I can't seem to find it now. If you can get hold of a copy its worth the read to anyone using SRT be it access or work positioning

I was on site at 715 then a group decision was made not to work. Would've been roadside and not worth the risk with the weather. It came out lovely this afternoon though!

I know of the Lawn Ranger and the Bush Trimmer - both landscapers/gardeners though, and I believe both now out of business

Hitches can't handle the friction of srt on their own, the rope wrench sort of shares the load/friction and creates a micro DdRT system. If you want to continue using the hc, I'd advise getting a wrench to use the two together, otherwise you'd be looking at a unicender
