  1. Beat me to it!
  2. Axethrowing
  3. Pfff! Anyone who can cut a ratchet strap from a distance is a pro in my books:lol:
  4. I like it. Maybe do a regional team league? Meet up every so often to have match with team colours/kits? Maybe that would be more logistically viable than everyone getting to the shows?
  5. I think the only reason for my axing prowess was that I probably had far too many go's! I don't think its any talent, more a probability that the more throws you do, you're bound to build up points eventually
  6. I paid a fleeting visit to the NHM a month or so ago, I'm gutted, I completely missed the ceiling piece. Oh well, I'll have to go back next time I'm that way
  7. Ha, I do! Doesn't bother me what they think, I'm the one who doesn't feel like turd the next morning and I have no trouble getting going
  8. I'd be well up for any of those suggestions. Maybe an arbtalk league, with video play or something? Add one vid a week of your best score, running through the year? I've found a stash of gransfors online....I'm getting mine today:thumbup:
  9. Maybe it meant two thai people:laugh1:
  10. :lol:Quality, especially the grope lunge
  11. Yeah, only had the airstreams since the arb show, sorry
  12. Baseball cap?! I'm going to have another look in my goody bag. Can't complain, I got a lovely new (free) axe! Thanks jonesie and all involved in running another brilliant show.
  13. :lol:Arbtalkers - Consistently lowering the tone since 2007:001_rolleyes:
  14. Pretty sound boot. Mine lasted about nine months which is fairly good for me. The back stitching is what finally gave out. Also the low tops combined with lots of stretchy/lungy leg moves = trousers ride up over the top and boots full of sawdust. I'd get another pair if I hadn't bought some airstreams
  15. Handy tools, I've got one in my bag. They do lead you to want to tinker once you get hold of it though...
  16. St Vincent and the Grenadines.... You have a lower BMI than 53% of males aged 15-29 in your country According to one of these my missus did for me a few years ago, I came in as obese. I certainly ain't that! As has been said, no way of accounting for muscle tone etc
  17. I am on my phone of late, no problems on the pc though:confused1:
  18. 8 - 10 if I'm at home, less when I'm away for work. My friends think I'm a loser for going to bed so early but I like it and have no issues getting up in the morning. Eat right, sleep right, no need for red bull or similars
  19. I'm savouring it! On site for an early start and no one else is here yet...maybe they're sunbathing
  20. Ok, unless you're self sufficient, whoever does your grocery shopping, same question?
  21. Not really, if farming was the booming business it's made our to be, there would be no need for subsidies. The problem lies in the supermarkets, as has been said, and the competition on pricing against imported food. Do you buy british or the cheapest when you go shopping?
  22. It's not really a case of being paid not to produce, unless you're talking about set side and field margins?Which is a whole different kettle of fish. Sure a helping hand from the government would be delightful, but that wouldn't be business, thats verging on a benefits culture. I for one wouldn't want to live in the government's pocket.
  23. Yeah I did the maths too, in the grand scheme of things, it's not that much in the worlds of modern farming. Plus you need more then a tractor to be able to do any work. There is a big difference between buying a tractor and a chipper too, they're not really comparable
  24. In theory yes its a good idea, a sort of redundancy to improve safety and emergency contingencies available. Imo, base anchors for anything more than nipping up to get a hanger etc are a pain in the backside. The sag in the system when loading/unloading your weight being only the start of it. If you're worried about your co workers accidentally cutting your line, maybe you should think about who you work with...
