  2. as spud says, it might be a bearing that has collapsed or something that is jamming the roller i had a roller mower given once it would start and run OK but when you engaged the drive it would stall it turned out to be a dead frog jammed in the roller

  4. did you see where the n grid has applied for planning to put a underwater cable from Drax down the Ouse to the North Sea don't know why it might have some connection to the sola farm that's proposed nearby?
  5. where do i start? dogger bank wind farm laying cabled now to just south of Bridlington. they are stopping private landowners from putting up turbines on their land. thermal heat pumps cost more to run than gas boilers and will not produce the same heat. smart meters can be shut off by the supplier remotely. importing wood pellets from America and Canada and will not use any of the waist from Uk tree surgeons which must be thousands of tons per year. solar panels are about spent by the time they have paid for themselves. the last figures I heard was the UK produced 1%of the global greenhouse gas that causes global heating so if we went 0% it would not make a shit of difference. Thay blame the car drivers and coal and wood burners never mention the military conflicts that have gone on for years around the globe. then all the people flying away on there holls the airlines planting trees to offset their carbon footprint then beavers are interduce which fell more trees than are being planted its late now off to bed
  6. just traded in my pathfinder for a x trail the thing bleeps when you are pulling into a spot in a car park if there is a car at the side, when i first drove it i was spending too much time looking at the displays than watching where I was going it has reversing camera on when you put it into reverse but i just use the mirrors. its a 1600 and seems to be a bit under powered compared to the pathfinder so you are having to use the gears a lot more then the mpg suffers, i seem to be getting only 10 mpg more.
  7. i do believe that thousands of them saplings died through lack of water
  8. HSE never state a pacific value on anything it's always a broad vague figure I think it's so they have a better chance if something goes to court.
  9. i remember years ago there was footage from a police helicopter thermal Camara tracking a supposedly big cat that suddenly disappeared on them the next day foot officers checking the location could not find any tracks or pipes where it disappeared
  10. quite a few years ago one of the properties i looked after in the bonfire heap was a large paw print much bigger than a Alsatian then a few weeks later i was taking to the local game keepers and he reckoned he was stalked by something one night in the dark and had to walk backwards to his truck but he could not see what it was.
  11. the way England are playing this ashes test match is more like 100 overs match which makes it more entertaining, and the Aussies don't seem to have an answer with the team they have but an Earley deceleration in the first match and rain stop play at Manchester they will not get the ashes.

  18. that's not including all the sea birds that are getting killed by them at sea as well. With all the electric cars that are coming on stream we cannot produce enough electric ourselves that is why we import it from France and Norway then when they shut the coal power stations they started using gas. the population in this country is rising at a huge rate with all the immigration both legal and illegal and all have to be provided for
