  1. I like the idea of the trailer for it, however it's limited to carrying only the chipper. I have an ifor Williams p7 that hold the chipper and 200kg of anything else I want!
  2. The stick on ones were featured in the farmers weekly recently. Try their site it might get you a bit closer.
  3. You will certainly be better off talking about something that everyone will relate to. Fungi is a good one, but I think it will perplex more than 50% of the audience. Restoration pruning and pruning for the trees benefit would be a good one, there's a lot of climber to like reductions, your going to appeal to more than 75% I would think with that topic alone. If its in June, record a video and I'll watch it on that! I'll be gutted if I can't see it!
  4. it was tough, they cut most of the parts out that had my shorts in!
  5. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MX145Tu4MHY&feature=related]Best Beer Ad Ever - Thirsty For Beer HD - YouTube[/ame] if only
  6. I don't have pics of any that aren't already up! Apart from this one!
  7. I think reductions are one of the most satisfying jobs!
  8. You will love it. Had mine a year now and it's not missed a beat!
  9. the ISC ones are good and difficult to beat (unless you go for DMM!) ive got one of the 50kn pulleys that i cant use because my rope is too big. id be willing to part with it!
  10. I've got an led lenser h7 and it's brilliant. Very powerful.
  11. got a bit of cash i want to lay out on some books, budget of £40-£50. Ive got a good collection already, what would be some good extra books to add to the collection?
  12. hah i could imagine you doing that going round whip!
  13. is that what you do at the weekends outside fruiting season?
  14. you should know what checks you need to do on your machines. saws are the parts you lean in CS30, and what you are shown to maintain. chipper should be simple, its an engine, on a trailer, with a spinning wheel with blades.
  15. there was some excellent spalting in this tree, although most of it has been burnt now! ill get a shot of a branch union that had some nice spalting in, would make a great effect on a photo!
  16. for that price and it seems like some are having issues, its going to take some convincing for me to even consider them as a next pair, my airstreams are great after 18 months.
  17. carry on as you are, if you had a good summer with that company get on with them again if you can, and just do everything in your ability to get the jobs done well. you seem to have a good idea, just keep doing it!
  18. Such high quality in fact, it's almost like real wood!
  19. go to church for christenings, funerals, weddings. Thats it, I am happy to respect other peoples religions and their views and i am comfortable with it. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that you make your own fate. Surely if Skyhucks life had been planned by a greater power he could still be a JW? Purely as an example. Ddint christmas come from the pagans anyway?
  20. This way works well for me
  21. you should get a certificate of conformity with your kit, if not, gustharts should have it. That lasts for 6 months till your first LOLER inspection.
  22. Looks a bit suspect. I thought heartwood was meant to be fixed to rings, not looking like decay breaking through them?
  23. i thought merip was the two rings in the centre? the black staining is from that metal i 'discovered' there was no gano on this tree, could it just be that its not fruited?
  24. it put me off completely! i had just sharpened that chain too, it was my 3rd cut and then i saw sparks.
  25. im gonna hijack your thread and show what i found in some wood! with the 36"bar it appears to be an iron downspout bracket! long time occluded too!
