  2. sorted now thanks
  3. cool beans, hopefully we can get another good group together again, a zipline shall be set up again i think
  4. in 2013/14 though! this year its £8100 ish
  5. unsure of exact pop, not lombardies, not black italian pops, bark reminds me of white pop with the diamonds on the bark but im unsure. reduce, 20% height, there are huge numbers of topped pops on this estate that were done by cowboys a while back, the residents will complain these will not be done the same, but we are pros, and dont do a cowboy job!
  6. bugger, got the number wrong sorry, didnt notice 07516 348002
  7. no interest? this will be a good day, easy drop zone, 3 guys make it an easier day on all of us.
  8. shall i put down 21st april then? seems theres a few keen on this so thats enough for me.
  9. How about may 12th? It's a Saturday. Or there's the 21st/22nd of April? I'm available all those days and would happily arrange a climbing day for then.
  10. the second part of that is something to be more proud of i think! i got a tan today! and a torrent of abuse from the local wino some comments included 'stop picking on the trees!' we were just taking out a few dead hanging branches! cant add any more comments, they were funny, but not well suited for this forum!
  11. unlucky! make sure you get insurance next time. sods law is the uninsured stuff gets nicked. ill keep an eye out for anything.
  12. I'm after a climber for Thursday. Got some pops to reduce and is a bit much for two people. Get paid on the day. 07515 348002 or pm here. Cheers.
  13. Using 11.7mm poison ivy today. I use a 12/13mm cam as I have a longer 13mm xtc rope too. In the pics above ive used 13mm line and found it worked well.
  14. I've sent you a pm
  15. Tried it today taking out a multi stemmed syccie. Worked very well and you can pull the tail of the rope up like on a HC/VT and it tends up slack smoothly. Quite pleased!
  16. i didnt think of just a crab really tbh, a dmm revolver would fit nice, but i dont want too many krabs knocking around my bridge and that little one and the pulley in the same ring worked nice.
  17. i am aware of that, but thanks for pointing it out. i had a few goes of this moving up and down and pulling the rope at different angles, it seemed tricky to get it to cause such an issue, although ive not had a proper test yet so it may change.
  18. I dislike tending slack now too. Tried it for a couple hours and it felt so stiff and slow! I've come up with this, very simple and does work, put the end of the rope through the same point I was anchored, leaning on the door ledge of my container and slowly dropping down worked well, don't expect amazing results but it did a good job for such a simple addition.
  19. Im after a guy to help out on some housing estates for these two days this week. ive got the kit, you just need PPE, hi viz can be provided, as can a helmet if required. its not tricky work, crown lifting, pruning, general maintenance works. saw tickets a must. have to be on site 7.30am tuesday and possibly the same thursday, that will be confirmed. also a possibility of further work in april. call or text 07516 348002 £80 per day or PM here. cheers
  20. they never seem to show as much money as i want in my bank ive been with them on a savings and current account for nearly 10 years now, never had an issue with them!
  21. after using my lockjack a fair bit now, nearly for a year, one thing that always got annoying was the fact that if the slack underneath just isnt at the right angle, it wont release properly so its awkward when branchwalking. would a pulley set underneath it be a good way of sorting this? i was thinking something clipped to my bridge next to the lj to help tend the slack in, much in the way a hitchclimber or skywalker pulley works on a VT system
  22. leave the saw in the cut and let it run down before you move it is one that i noticed was easily missed. just be confident with your positioning before you make the cuts, have a little bounce to check your footing, once your committed, do it.
  23. Cool. Sounds like fun Would love to get some new not so common species. Including a few better ones of what I've already got!
  24. Me and robin were talking about this today, I shall get one organised for us lot around here if that's of any interest?
