  1. My usual guy is absent Tuesday. So I need a helper Not tricky work. Housing estate maintenance. Saw tickets ideal. 07516348002 or pm here.
  2. I stuck mine on eBay and sold 10 of the 36 rings I had!
  3. Stihl ms260 in 2007. Still got it!
  4. Why not just get a rope wrench?
  5. I only have one harness so it's tricky, I want to get up and in the trees with you pete. If anyone has a spare harness and wants to come down feel free. Don't want to disappoint you pete. I just can't afford a new harness.
  6. Still no interest? I can do Sunday if people are available. Ive booked my saturday elsewhere now.
  7. Same here, I found it a bit of a small show to warrant the travel really. It was good otherwise. If it was 100 miles closer id be there now!
  8. I'm on the verge of finishing my BSc in arb at myerscough. I had some of my tickets before I started in 2009. However if I had just carried on learning off the tools my knowledge would be nowhere near what it is now. The HE level qualifications level 4 and above are a much more in depth knowledge and also include surveying and hazard and risk management. Learning about the biology on the way is tricky. If I handed in my CV with a BSc (level 6) in arb on and all the relevant tickets but only 3 years part time experience, and a lad with a level 3 diploma hands his in with the same tickets and 2 years full time experience, who would be the better person to have in your eyes?
  9. I know but I don't like stretching apps on the screen. Doesn't look right! A proper iPad version would be ace!
  10. Any notice for iPad versions Steve? It says there's some on the website they would be awesome! Ill add those apps to. Y collection and leave some reviews. Hopefully it can be popular and make you a millionaire! (unlikely, but it has been done!)
  11. 260 with an 18" bar will cut alright. Used mine full depth and cut like conifer. If its sharp it's great. Heavy wood though!
  12. I had a claim against me in a less than 5mph bump. Whiplash, headaches, flashbacks for both the scumbag driver and his wife! Not what I need! Didn't go through though. My insurance told me you can't sustain injury under 15mph so his case was thrown out. Took over a year to sort that!
  13. the insurance industry needs to be devalued, we wont moan then!
  14. ive been taking normal photos and then using the snapseed app on my ipad to add tilt shift, gives a great image. I used snapseed to create my avatar picture.
  15. April. This Saturday, I could move to Sunday quite happily if it's more convenient for people?
  16. Yep they will charge you a nice premium for causing you no hassle and carrying on. Pays to shop around. I spent ages looking at insurance for a range of vehicles a few months ago. A 2003 landy 90 td5 was £1200 to insure. A 2008 1.3tdci corsa van was 1400. I can't understand insurance at all!
  17. I too was wondering about this Pete. I need a spare harness so I can climb with you. It may have to move to Sunday I think if there is enough people wanting it!
  18. What about out of university arb students?
  19. weve got an old km85 (it think) and got a new 130r in november, the 130 has tons of grunt and runs the polesaw well and ther brushcutting circular blades too!
  20. the petzl navaho fast is around £120 or so brand new, theres no other harnesses that cheap. They are good harnesses but very basic. Are you selling it?
  21. Thanks Gerrit. Valuable info.
  22. C+E is your class C so i think its 7.5t + trailer over 750Kgs, B +E is car and trailer.
  23. uncouple and recouple the trailer, reverse manouver which is very simple. then a 40 minute drive including a 10 minute independent drive. fairly straight forward. You take lessons till your ready for the test, in my case it was 2 lessons 2 hours each and i was ready. my instructor provided the vehicle and trailer, used a hyundai IX35, good little crossover 4x4 thing. Drives nice and was plenty for the test, trailer was a small box trailer. I think using a landy would be tougher as its a heavier clutch and less steering lock. this was who i used, he also taught me at 17. http://mrh-driving.co.uk/
  24. Thanks Gerrit. Does it cause any structural weakness? Or act as a vector for other fungi?
  25. Hi Gerrit I have been out to look at a beech tree today, on the stem there is a fair amount of rough bark, i was going to take a photo but forgot to, however the bark looks very much like this does (pic found from google). is it Cryptococcus fagisuga? if not, what could it be?
