  5. Borrowed a digger. Wasn't told it overheats and has cooked it's crankshaft seal.
  6. Thing is, you can replace a bridge as it wears out. Leg loops too but not the load bearing stitching. Make sure that's in good order too. 4 years and it's been out most days? Treat yourself.
  7. I'll see you bright and early Saturday morning Paul

  14. You put a v8 into the equation and now questioning it?!?
  15. 5m off the top of that is harmful and would be topping it essentially. I don't advise taking the top off to get more light in. The tree blocks the light coming through the crown, so a thin or a crown lift can make a bigger impact, crown lifts make the tree look less imposing as you can see sky under the crown. Go for the crown lift, do something about those conifer hedges too if you can. They are blocking light too. Maybe apply to have it re thinned. Copper beech do block a lot of light and the dark foliage doesn't help. My council sees light as a bit of a trivial issue so won't really allow very much work maybe a crown lift or light thin if justified enough.
  16. Looking forward to those myself. Look useful! Any idea of load rating?
  17. Bees are not protected. It's just unnecessary to kill them in the majority of situations. Moving the nest or having a beekeeper collect the swarm is the best option.
  18. I'm going but only for the daytime. Won't be staying mega late. Coming from St. Helens so if people want to come to my yard I can give a lift from there.
  19. Waiting for gabe rygarrd to throw his toys about. You could use one of them to follow the staff about

  24. I still stand on the corners of my falteimer. Got mine in 2009 it's still not showing any sign of wear. Great bit of kit. 13mm rope would have to be xtc plus for me. Nice rope. Not too stiff.
