  1. Looks like there's a turbine at the side of the drum to give it that power. The blades wouldn't provide that much suction. One of the billy goat machines would do better!
  2. Gotta love cake. In all shapes and sizes Maybe your cake saw could cut my cake log?
  3. Sugoi is an aggressive cut with the large teeth. No good for tiny twigs. But anything too small would be better done with secateurs. Zubat is probably the better all rounder if you have a chainsaw with you most of the time.
  4. I'll just leave this here...
  5. First tree in my first house. Home grown Fraser fir. Fresh cut on the day it was put up.
  6. We could do with a lift to get a 25' Christmas tree placed into a hole. It's on grass. Anything that can lift up to 25/30' height will work. We can't justify 8 hours of tractor driving to get one tree up. Anyone nearby? 07841128366 Cheers
  7. Do they come with a short auger? I only need to drill half a hole
  8. We are tenants with a large private estate. They have lots of land around us and lots of this has some large trees on. I asked if I could climb some and they said they would only let me climb if I was working on them. Even though I said I'm happy to produce a liability waiver they weren't interested. If it's council owned parks I just found a quiet corner. Once asked for permission but they wanted insurance details and all sorts. Not worth the hassle.
  9. Screw fix have an offer on a 18v hitachi combi drill and impact driver set. I got that set back in August. Money well spent imo. Done plenty with them and the batteries, albeit only 1.5ah, charge in 40 mins.
  10. 661s seem ok now they have sorted the problems. 660 is old school saw so just works. If you can find someone to give you a go your welcome to compare it to my 660
  11. Gta5 has been one of the best in the gta series. Just finished the story mode on that. Epic ending!
  12. This was a tractor trailer so couldn't get an end on. Couldn't even lift an end!
  13. Your probably right at 3 ton. Tractor will do about 1.5t on the loader and it was just managing with the log in half. It's got some lovely markings in it. Ideal tabletop size.
  14. Tractor wouldn't lift the stem in 1. About 12-14' long and mostly about 42" thick. Tractor has a bucket grab for the front which helps when moving awkward stuff. A proper hiab would have handled the stem fine but can only work with what's available! Got them into our trailer which took up 80% of the room. Big lumps of wood!
  15. Blue because I painted it Was useful when our subbing for other people with the same saws. Thought I'd at least make the unique marking look alright
  16. I'm not looking for cutting performance. So would have to get a sprocket and see. I'm expecting a it to be a bit less nippy but it'll be mainly cutting soily wood where normal chains don't last an hour. Power sharps were the best option for speed.
  17. That was a big butt! Had to go back a second time with the 660 to cut it in half as the tractor wouldn't lift it. Easily 2t!
  18. The new cordless saws run on the new 1.1 micro chain, are there any ways of getting them to run oregon powersharp? Smallest sizes i can find are the equivalent to the 3/8" Picco micro chain, looks like its worth changing the sprocket to get the desired results? Anyone have an insight? Cheers
  19. Only done mine very slightly. Exhaust mod makes a massive difference.
  20. yes, look in the employment section, theres usually climbers looking for work! i would look at a VT system first, fraction of the price and is a similar climbing style so you can see if you get on with it first before shelling out big cash.
  21. Always keep a plastic crown in the truck. So when they ask for that say yes and go put it on the highest branch!
  22. Spuds getting lifted now. Doesn't get much muddier. There's usually a handwritten sign lying down on the path that says mud on road. That'll do it
  23. I've still not figured out where the petrol goes
  24. Bump again Climber or groundy would be suitable. Some rigging to do. Anybody available? Getting a bit desperate
