  1. She added: ‘I regret the fact that I lost the medals and I would love to get them back one day. I loved my brother and miss him every day, but I wanted to give my son the best.’ The best what, tan? Thats a disgrace, if something like that happened to me, i would remember the fallen, not take advtange for something as material and selfish as a holiday!
  2. yeah look on the internet also for tree ID, as books give you the 'ideal world' example. So get on the internet and look for other pics, even ask on here for pics as you will get a better understanding of the variations that single species can do. They should ask for a 3 knot (closed) system, they did on mine, which is bowline to blakes hitch and figure 8 stopper knot.
  3. Try an osteopath. I had a problem with inflamed joints in my back. Two sessions and I was done. Cracking guy. Prepare to be jumped on though! Best money I've spent this year. Not had a single problem since!
  4. I couldn't understand where to cut the core before I milked it all together so pulled it really far through and cut it. Turns out that's what I shouldn't have done! You could pull the cross over back out the splice, but it was still strong. It actually fell apart when I was finishing the last one as its on the other end of that rope. I'm giving 16 strand a go tomorrow. Any tips for that?
  5. And again, this is my latest and best so far!
  6. Another pic. Can only do one at a time from my phone
  7. Sjb you should learn. I have been and I've caught the fever. Been doing 3 strand a bit and got good at that. Been using the rope high scale (thanks mate!!) sent me and also bought some off honey bros. Tested my first one with a 250kg weight and there was no chance of it budging! Even though I cut out too much of the core at the end. It still worked fine. It has since fell apart but I've done a couple more with smaller eyes and they have both worked fine! Here's a few pics
  8. Hey I'm just testing out this new app. I was getting popups on my phone saying arbtalk was compatible and I decided to get the app. More handy on the phone as the forum doesn't have a mobile friendly view. Now it does! Thanks Steve! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. behind megan fox! I would love to work over in new zealand, a goal that i think may be closer is tree maintenance on a big estate, lots of big trees to climb and lots of work!
  10. its fairly near a gypsy camp so thats a possibility? big bolt it does seem like a ringbarking attempt. its failed as the tree still seems vigorous and is showing no signs of decline or stress. IT doesnt look like an ivy removal job as theres no evidence of it in the immediate area
  11. heres ours, does turfwork hence the gay tyres! High speed verti-drain on the back, its like a sewing machine, it runs at a pto speed of 450-480rpm and when walking behind it you cant even follow one of the sets of tines as its going so damn fast!
  12. Spotted this down at the local park whilst out on a walk with the other half, her sister and her boyfriend, and the two dogs! DOnt know why anyone would do this. Plus a picture of an old stump of what i believe to be a sycamore and the dogs next to it.
  13. a fisheye lens is a must! My mum is getting into photograhy and has a 450D, cracking camera.

is that jiggling even necessary, i would have got the breadknife, would have been quicker! he had half the safety gear, ear defenders, gloves, didnt quite see glasses, and boots, but no saw pants and he was kneeling right next to it. The saw was that dull anyway i think he would have been tickled to death anyway!
  21. wow, thats a fair old knock, it is a fair sized wagon though. This is not just any fracture pruning, this is M&S precision impact fracture pruning!
  22. I would look for problems in the canopy such as die back or rotten parts of the stem. Tap them with a stick or the back of a silky. For the pics. Instead of uploading them and using the img tags. Use the uploader provided below the text box when you make a post. Resizes them to a convenient size
  23. If steven hawking falls ill, do we take him to A&E or PC World?
  24. arbtalk resizes photos no matter what their size unless they are smaller than the maximum allowed. heres what ive got so far, 10 minute job. Somehow managed to erase the left spur and part of the pole, but its not hard to redo this.
  25. ian can you get the full size pic on here, ill have a go, its better with a larger picture
