  1. just a quick update....... i'm back in tommorow and the op is booked for thursday. will probably be in for about a week and a half. we treated ourselves to a chinese takeaway tonight (the wife called it the last supper....... great, thanks darling!!!!). will post an update when i'm home.

  10. try googling the word ie, 'how to pronounce ........'. i found a couple of websites this way that have a list of names that you click to hear the pronounciation. you could even type 'how to pronounce botanical names'.

  17. i used to clip a whistle to my chin strap but didnt like the idea of getting caught in the face with something and the whistle being between my face and the object, so i used to carry it in my personal first aid kit. beat me to it rupe, i didnt see your post.

  20. we usually organise one regularly, last one was about 2 months ago at gollums woods (mark kneller). i'm sure they'll be plenty of interest. looks like you get the honour of organising this one. if you have trouble finding a venue just put a post up, one of us will be able to sort one.

  23. what i was going to say:thumbup: anyway forget your chin up bar mark, i've got an off cut of lowering rope through an eye in the ceiling, no loops just grip the two ends of the rope and pull to suit the areas you want to target.
