  1. Great course , is Rodney still doing woodland management ?
  2. Now then Mark, how are you ? me i'm good as good can be. To answer your specific question, its not the mod pushing good blokes out into Arb, Its fantastic blokes who have given up a good proportion of there lives for King and Queen, They have just decided that that way of life is no longer what they want, they are not monetary driven , but desire a way of life completely in difference to what they have been accustomed too. Its about a life change thing, for some even becoming feral ,money does not mater ,working with your hands and being your own boss are key points, doing what you like when you like are also very important, don't forget for those leaving the mod, for all the time that they have been in, there has been no sickeys ( don't feel like work today ! ) and all turn to 5 mins before there appointment time, it will have been very regimented time. For me I don't take any days now as a free man for granted pretty much say what I think and do as I please and try not to offend. And one last point its only coincidental that this industry is saturated and as a result so poorly paid. me, i'm going fishing tomorrow its too hot to work
  3. Thats about there, plants about 50p then labour in all for that job on Goatys calculations I would of said more like 5k to 5.5k is the ground a bit wet then for that choice ? good mix for speed and growth if the ground is a little moist.
  4. Hello Mark been a while, only when you develop good strong grey facial hair will you become a tantric's lover
  5. Nice Beard David and nice to put a face to your posts, we look much the same only mine is all white hair and full of food,
  6. Good, ....thats the council being prosecuted .
  7. Well built, bit heavy but with that sort of build quality its to be expected, if your going through Global for the machine ior any spares Dean is a top bloke, really helpful and has an engineers perception on how things work, couldn't rate them highly enough . For me I like the tracked version , but now only into grinders. Ring Dean with any questions, sure he will be on later .
  8. Distance , not too far, pretty fast, if your local or can afford a night away in Devon , its a great night out. Yull be sure to get st faced.
  9. You as a subie with or without insurance , I want to say should not worry, this is of a concern to the bonifide company or business engaging your services. To me it was an assumption that as long as I paid all my dues in insurances that my client was fully protected, as long as I declared I engaged boifide subies on occasions, (tax independent) I did not realize that there shot falls in there own insurances would in fact invalidate my own cover.
  10. Yep hes got form alright, but a dark horse this year as we missed last year on account of his bad leg, hes good to go this year, I did think having his testies removed would have slowed him, but hes just more mental than ever, hes going to smoke them this year, as for a link iv heard and seen them but whats that ?
  11. He could still be a good mate, I have over the years twated one or two good friends, all in a good cores, and to this day ,deep down, they thank me for the lesson.
  12. I'd always assumed that as long as I was well insured that my staff, employed, and any subies would all come under the same blanket cover, not that the cover may actually be invalidated by any uninsured subies.
  13. Any one racing that night ? great night out, Iv got Jack running again, well worth a punt.

  17. Random one this, only found out today that if any of your subies does not have insurances in place it will invalidate all of your own insurances , came from reading the small print of Arborisk policy. Discuss.
  18. Go round there , kick his front door in, take back your saw , simples:thumbup1: if he has an issue with your approach punch him on the nose and then tell him you will no longer be loaning him any equipment.
  19. I was thinking of going but it clashes with West Buckland Flower Show, bit torn to be honest, they did have Thatchers last year and some vintage Sheppys and Belly Dancers (flower show that is )Core if only life wasn't so heck tick.

  21. Yep thats stump grinding, hard to tell, but if not, fit with red green teeth, the best thing about a grinder like that is think of the money you save not going to the gym, cus you will be tooooooooooo fked
  22. I like it too, mr global lets see you put that on tracks, we talked about it, could be a great concept, and from what I have seen of you chaps anything is possible.
  23. I first went when i was about 36 on a holiday visa on my own left the wife and girls in blighty, gone for 3 mths worked 6 days a week cash in hand, never worked so hard in my life, loved it worked and played hard, came home with money. Did the same the next year and had the same experiences, then just concluded as i was flying back the second time that i would with all that i had learnt focus all my efforts on making it work in the uk, i did that and all has worked out, still with the wife and girls and done ok.
