  1. I didn't get to clean it the yesterday but I'm sure it's the problem, cheers dmc
  2. I did a sappy pine the other day, I'm wondering if maybe the heat sink might be sticky where I can't see it! I'll take it off and clean it tomorrow and see if it makes a difference!
  3. It's the steel one that came with it. Has changing yours made a difference?
  4. Had something bizarre happening with mine today, when I was sat back on the rope the HH was holding me solid, but the hitch wasn't engaged at all, totally slack!! I was having to jump to make it descend at all! Anyone have this happen?
  5. Hope you recover swiftly and comfortably.
  6. Good luck with the baby dude and thanks for the wedge, it looks too good to use!
  7. Do you not swap between rope and wire core Steve?
  8. I've just got the same ones Paul, they're lovely aren't they!!
  9. Could you put a link to these please Scott?
  10. Never a wiser word spoken Al 😀
  11. I got a metre of this the other day Edelrid Powerloc Expert SP 8mm Rope - Per Meter - Buxton's Not heard of it before so thought I'd best check it's ok before use?
  12. I'll take a pic over the weekend bud. I made the mistake of chucking a load of large sumac a few weeks ago so I thought I'd better ask about this before it got tipped!
  13. Is Garrya Elliptica any good for turning? Whilst taking one down today I noticed it has a lovely dark heart wood!
  14. He turns it into a five wrap, two braid, so I was wrong in the post above. You've more than likely seen that vid though?
  15. In one of the vids on the tube there's a chap who says to give it seven wraps, but then break it into a four wrap, three braid vt. Keep having a play because there's to many folk in the US using the HH with it who love it, so it must be good.
  16. When I was doing an assessment I was told the chipper handbrakes don't work fully in reverse, the assessor had one go over a small cliff for that reason.
  17. I found it a little with the hrc, especially if it was wet. Maybe try three wraps and a couple of braids but have it short.
  18. A fish would feel at home today in Sheffield! Have a good one 😀
  19. I'll have to try a new bit of beeline sometime. I was on some a couple of weeks ago but it was stuff I got with the HH, so a year or two old.....it didn't work that well haha! It's a bonus you only have to buy one metre of cord isn't it, cheap for trying types!
  20. I'm on kernmaster Al, it's very likeable. You've got some of that posh blue rope haven't you? How do you find it?
  21. Sounds good Adam! I've just been given some AP and does seem good on that!
  22. Can it be used for drt too? I have a HH at the mo and find it real handy being able to swap between srt and drt with no trouble.
  23. Try anhydrol forte from a chemist, I read that it stops the pores working where it's applied?
