  1. Knockers, I dealt with a big one that came over in the snow but didn't realise it was any good!
  2. That first one was perfect 👍
  3. I'd like to see more climbing and getting in to position rather than just cutting, a good mix of them both. The spiderjackery vid wouldn't have been half as good if it had just cut to him tapping the bell. Normal music, not techno and a sort of middling pace. Saying that though, all the vids I've seen so far have been great, yours and others 👍 And what Mark said!!!
  4. That's looks like it'd be a useful database 👍
  5. Yes they've got some skill haven't they! I'll watch it again later with the subs on 👍
  6. I didn't understand a word they were saying but I still enjoyed it, so thought I'd share.
  7. Cool👍 The chanting is very similar to mantra meditation, it's the single pointed awareness that's the key 👍
  8. Spot on, and once it's happened a few times the negative thoughts will cease to arise. After a while, when real negative things happen you'll have full control of that too, I got stuck on a motorway for over two hours on the way to work earlier in the year, once I'd told my boss I was going to be late I just sat back and relaxed, it was great. Everyone else around me was having a nightmare living in the future of what ifs, where I was enjoying the time to relax, read and have a bit of a chill.
  9. That's brilliant, years ago the thought was that the brain your born with is the one you'll have for life so the traits you bring over from your parents you'll be stuck with. Now they know through neuroplasticity that this is wrong! Doing this meditation/any type of meditation will defo help with how you feel and the bonus is that through the tests they found that it lowers blood pressure too, win win 😀 In one test they gave the people who had done the 12 weeks of meditation the flu jab and they found that their immune systems were loads stronger than the test subjects that hadn't meditated👍 I think you've just found the answer to you troubles and what better time for it to have happened than the eve of a new year!
  10. It'd be awesome if you did Silky and it'd be interesting to hear the difference you feel. As most would agree on here you'd seem to be the last person that'd need meditation, so it would just go to show how beneficial it can be for everyone. You don't need to have anything amiss to have a great change 😀
  11. No worries 👍 The great thing is that even if you believe yourself to have no problems it'd still be highly beneficial, and the bliss of no thought is quite incredible 😀
  12. If you do 20 to 30 minutes meditation a day it will help greatly. They are now just proving with brain scans the effect it has and the plasticity of the brain and how it changes, the parts which make you happy and calm grow, and the parts which cause anxiety and depression shrink. Here's a little vid to get you started. Don't worry about the bit at the end where he recommends the course, I think he's just covering his back as he's basically just told you how to do it! This will work quite quickly if you do it. It won't work at all if you don't! I sometimes help out on a meditation course where 90 people come for 12 weeks and the change in them after just a few weeks is amazing 👍
  13. You can get long or normal leg. I've had mine for over a year but they haven't held up as well as yours. Still far better than hiflex though!
  14. Ah, very good Mr Gray.....or should I say "Sherlock" 😀 I'm pleased no one was hurt, an out of control chipper could be a nasty thing! It wasn't until recently that I found out a chippers handbrake doesn't work in reverse!
  15. Sheffield is horrible in the snow and ice. I few years ago a car slid down a hill bouncing off loads of double parked cars on the way down. That must have been a tricky one to sort out!
  16. Oww I wonder who that was, did she see a name on the van?
  17. Thought I'd share this quite interesting film about axes. http://youtu.be/Xz3rs-eaN3E
  18. Thanks for that Paul. I was working today with a lad who's a consultant and he was talking about that British standard. He'd recently done a day at one of the colleges about it and he said that some of the pics of poor stock were the same as the one I've posted here.
  19. Yes reading further on the net just now and it does say to leave the hessian on. I'll mention it to the chap next week.
  20. Cheers for the replies, interesting - I'll mention about not taking the stuff off although it does say to do so on the net.
  21. Hi I've been helping a friend now and then on a landscaping job and it got to part where the trees were needed. The customer ordered a few pleached hornbeams and they came with sack and wire round the root balls. The root balls looked a good size but when we took the sack and wire off to plant we were left with this I've not planted trees before so not seen what they should look like but these look as though they have just been hacked! Is this what you'd expect?
