  3. Little tip when using them, leave the head slightly loose so you can tap it against a branch to adjust the angle, saves bringing it back to yourself all the time. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. Cheers Benn. What's the advantage over a pulley or is it just something new and different? I suppose Reg was doing the vid to show kit being used for treestuff, the Arb trolley looked great!! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. Lloyd, you are a star 👍 Reg, great vid! Is there an advantage using the ring thing instead of a pulley? I'd have thought it'd have just worn your rope quicker? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  15. All's good here in Sheffield bud. Pleased things are going well for you in the big smoke! I've been using srt for about a year. To start with it was mainly for access and i didn't get on with it for working off. Now I'd say 95% is srt, just drt for something real small I'll only be in for a couple of minutes. Because I didn't stick with it to start with, the transitional period was quite long, but now I think you'd be mad to choose drt. Redirects are ace and so is no added friction, some of the positions I've been in with ease recently would have been bloody hard work drt. I'd say go for it and stick with it, worth the learning curve in the end 😀 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. Cheers Drew, looking forward to seeing what it is! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. Hiya Matt, hope you're well? If I have a base tie to get into the tree quickly on a busy crown, I'll scoot up, get groundy to untie and then just chuck and cinch to the top. I'll then either top tie or send the tail back down(must trust groundy for that one!). On a wide tree where a tip's needed the other side, I'll either redirect for a tip or with the amount of time you save with srt it's sometimes worth coming down and treating the other side as a separate tree. Also, you can set your line through both sides of the tree with your bag before you start. I think it's worth mucking around for 10 mins getting things set up and then saving half an hour and energy srting the whole climb. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. What's that Drew? I was going to get a Big Shot but how long do you think this new device is going to be coming here? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
