  1. The today's job on e is now there and I think I can work out why the silky one isn't. All's good bud.
  2. Hiya Steve I'm getting emails through saying that someone has replied to a thread, but when I look at AT on either the app or net they're not there?
  3. Could someone put a link up to the correct split pins in the uk for the bone please?
  4. That'll be where the earth attaches to the engine. Take the side case off chain side and then another plastic cover and it's m'dear there. Mines come loose a few times.
  5. Cheers Gordon. Mine runs perfectly with kern, it's amazing! I just fancied getting a shorter, slightly fatter rope too Will have a read on fb also 👍
  6. Are all these orange ones basically the same?
  7. Is that the better out of the two makes then? Did you get a bdb in the end Al?
  8. Which tachyon is it that folk are liking with the bone?
  9. I got taught above in my rigging training but got told to put one below in my assessment.
  10. I was thinking more on the lines of a microchip embedded in our necks so we can be scanned. A tattoo on the forehead would be unsightly!
  11. Good point. I wonder if it was the law to have a certificate to use any saw, whether it would stop so many being stolen. As in, if the cops saw you using one and you didn't have quals, you could get done, bit like a driving licence.
  12. The need of a certificate to purchase one.....in theory anyway!
  13. They brought it in for top handles, maybe it's only a matter of time until they do for ground saws...
  14. I'll have to make sure I go next year! Have you tried the posh diesel? I did a bit of research and then gave it a go, my van now does more mpg and also has a bit more power. It's more expensive to buy but I put loads less in than the normal, so it works out cheaper 👍
  15. I line my cuts up on bigger stuff. Be careful using outboard cuts, I've found they sometimes take the saw with them.
  16. That was a great little vid, very relaxed, and a nice memory for the journalist 👍
  17. Yeas I've tried it a little from the middle hole but thought the rope fell through better from the top. I'll use the middle one tomorrow, it was only just not quite as good....but still brilliant! Just looked at your vid Adam and see you were using that one, would certainly be better for disconnecting too. The easy on and off the rope is great isn't it, I'm setting each tree up with the right amount of rope now, which I didn't do mostly with the HH cos it was a pain dragging it through it. The bone certainly does make climbing easier and more efficient!
  18. I got my BDB about a week ago and I've got to say it's amazing. Straight from the box and on my kernmaster it self tends just like Rich's that Adam showed in the vid, it couldn't get any easier. The first day of using it whilst reducing a few Ash, it was chucking it down with rain. The wet rope seemed to make it a tad jumpy, but it was probably due to me never having used a mechanical device before too. How do you find it in the rain Rich? As the week went by it got loads smoother and now it's second nature. I will maybe make a tending thing like Rich's, I found that when clipped into the ring at the top, when I sit back the rings a bit high and a fiddle to unclip from(I am not much bigger than your average common or garden gnome though, so others may be fine). All in all, I can't blooming wait to use it again tomorrow Cheers Gordon 👍
  19. Nice vid Ben and a sponditious view from up there!
