I'd spend a bit more and get one that's more than 3hp, with a slightly bigger tank. That way you can run all the other tools off it. I got a 2.5hp 25L one, then went to get a power file and die grinder only to find out it wasn't powerful enough to run them.

Yeah it's in the same class as the red isc, I just thought it'd be handy having the hollow spindle.

Has anyone got the treehog rigging pulley, and if so, whats your thoughts on it? To me it sounds and looks quite good and I like the fact it has the hollow spindle, like the large dmm, which would be handy for a controlled speedline and whatnot!

There was a lad who was talking about his 193 on Facebook. He said it was a tad slow as standard but with a quick hole drilled in the exhaust it was great. Not used one myself though.

The ring I used was off an old rope bag, worth having a look if you have any kicking about.

Haha, I thought a hammer and a screwdriver were the same thing I wanted to make mine the same as Rich's but I didn't have some line the right thickness, so I ended up with this It probably works just the same, but just doesn't look as nice.

Coolio Gordon, thanks for the link. Yes I made sure when made it that it was as short as possible so it couldn't catch on anything! To stop the karabiner from moving in the nano I've used a think piece of rubber with two holes drilled in it. I feel pretty sure it isn't going anywhere but do still check when glancing down.

Awesome Al 👍 I've found that if I'm ascending via quickstep, I clip into the hole in the spline, and if I'm just climbing the tree and want it to follow the I clip into the top hoop which I've extended with a real short bit of throwline and a little ring. The top hoop was a pain without that. I've also found a nano swivel always keeps the BDB in the perfect position, especially when leaning right out at an angle. It is poor in the wet, but not so much that I feel I may plummet to my doom.....well, maybe for a split second 😄 It's great being able to take it on and off so easily isn't it! Pleased you like it chap.

I had a word with northern Arb supplies about that because they sell the same hi vis grundens that honey brothers sell (which would be very waterproof but heavy and hot for climbing), but nothing's come of it!

I've spoken to you Europe office but they said they don't sell them in Europe. They did say they'd be bringing out a similar jacket in 2015 for Europe and for me to keep an eye out......not seen one yet!

Yeah they look spot on don't they! At about £29 for the none hi vis it's a bargain, just a shame by the time you add postage and import tax it comes to £50 ish, still a bargain but annoying it's nearly double to buy one from here! Why don't you go to America to buy one Mark, then you could bring me one back too

[ame] [/ame] Not got one myself but I've heard real good stuff about them from one of the deadliest catch crew. Only trouble is you have to get them from the US so if it doesn't fit it'd be a pain to send back.
