  1. Nice one takjaa, sounds like it'll be fine. I've only had a hang from a wooden frame in the back garden and it did seem fine. I bet it'll self tend well with kern!
  2. Yeah I noticed it says 11.5 but was wondering if half a mil could make that much difference. My kern is well used so has probably fluffed up to more than 11mm? Like you say, I'll try it low to start. Is the only problem it could have is not gripping and needing to be set?
  3. Is it ok for the zigzag to be used on 11mm rope, kernmaster?
  4. With all the chippers you see around these days, it got me wondering what happens to all the old ones? There must be some each year that are written off by insurance companies, crashed, caught fire and whatnot! Is there somewhere where these machines are sitting with loads of good parts on that could be recycled? Do folk have old machines wasting away in their yards? If you know of any old, broken machines, maybe they could be listed here and the spares sold? I'll start with something I'd like if anyone has one kicking around, the spout adjuster on a tw150, for taking it on and off. Mine has no handle so have to use a pipe wrench!
  5. I don't think a "one size fits all" harness will work for everyone.
  6. I had a small amount of chip on my truck from last week, chipped more on yesterday but when I came to tip the old stuff wouldn't come off. I had to jump in the shovel it and the pores coming off it was unreal. Last night was the worst I've had, my whole body was is agony, boiling hot but shivering uncontrollably, pounding head and no sleep at all! I won't be leaving chip on again!!
  7. I tried one of the chains on my 200t, lively!! A good sharpen and leaving the rakers should make it more controllable.
  8. Yes I had, lasted a couple of days! It was BNAG!

Haha, to get a transit up a muddy slope you do have to go flat out

    Floodlight.

The folk that jimbob put up look to have some very good lights, but you do pay for the quality https://www.ledlightsforsale.co.uk/all-products/work-lamps-driving-%20led%20lamps/bars/72-watt-twin-row-cree-led-light-bar.-utv-204.html

This looks like a bit of a beast and not a bad price http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=161855573691

    Floodlight.

What would you suggest to have as a work/reverse light Bob? The clocks will soon go forward so the last hour or two of work could well be in the dark again. It's always a bonus if the customer has a floodlight on their drive, so anything as bright as one of those?

    Floodlight.

I'll have a gander at them thanks. I could do with one that's attached to the back of the chip box because where I tip at the end of the day is on a farm and during the winter it's pitch black and very muddy, so I have to reverse at speed to the chip and log piles. Last year was a pain not being able to see how far away they were very clearly!

    Floodlight.

Hello I'm going to put a floodlight on top of my chip box and wondered if anyone had any recommendations? I was thinking of something like this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=331553375930 Or would a strip one be better?
  15. Cheers dude 👍 What sort of shop does the dipping and is it expensive?
  16. Where are you getting it done, never heard of that before? How much? You can get the brown froth from corrosion in the block. Would you report back and say whether it's made a difference please?
  17. Maybe I've been over filling the rad? The chipper runs great, has never cut out due to overheating, just pushes a bit of coolant out when working hard. I've fitted a new cap so that's ok. I'll try giving it a wash like muck says and maybe replace the thermostat. There no oil in water or steam from exhaust so I'm sure had gasket is fine. Those reverse fans do look good!
  18. Mines never stopped with the over heating thing which I suppose is good....if it's got one Splendid Mick, thank you very much for the advice, I'll give it a good wash at the next opportunity 👍
