  1. I have read some of the previous posts about pickups and want to know from people who actually own one. At 6ft 8" it seems to be the most comfortable pickup for me, Drives great but have heard there are transmission problems. I'm looking at 2010 plate with either 169 or 190 hp ones I'm looking at have around 65000 miles. Have you had any real issues ? Or should I steer clear etc?
  2. They are really good on juice they drink LOADS!!
  3. Look at buying privately and save ££'s on used dealer prices for trucks, Take someone who knows there way around a truck so you don't get your fingers burnt, There are bargains out there.
  4. Very true! Try adding a middle aged woman to the policy as a named driver either your Mum or partner brought my premium down a lot! But obviously don't let them drive your pride and joy :-)
  5. I got this just as a spare truck paid £1500 for it it's earned that 3 times over in two months. Not the nicest thing to drive but a work horse I am in my twenties and insurance is £300 quid. Go for it and best of luck
  6. Temporary effort 3 sheets ply does the job for now.
  7. Been pulling various vehicles out of flood water with the Discovery .
  8. Did any one else experience the mini tornado that went through Essex at about 16:40 this Saturday?
  9. Hi Rob, Have you a local dealer who would let you use a CS100 for a couple days on demo to get a feel for one? There is certainly a 'Nak' of feeding one which you get used too. If you were financing one it wouldn't be much more p/m for a used bigger machine.
  10. Some good has come from McDonalds the Ronald McDonald charity has helped a lot of families. Just educate the scrotes about dropping the litter, Car reg sounds like a good idea.
  11. When I was employed I had a basic hourly rate plus a bonus of 0.50p hr doing 60hrs week + it adds up. If you were sick or missed a day, were late etc you lost your bonus. Stopped all this phoning in sick etc if I were to employ I would use a similar method.
  12. Tartar is for fish and chips :-)
  13. People say have the CS100 and hire a bigger 6" as and when personally I would buy a 6" and hire a wee chipper as and when needed. Whatever you decide the little CS100 holds its value very well so you can't really go wrong if you decide to upgrade in a year or twos time.
  14. If it's any help I am prepared to contribute a tenner towards a lid mate if a few of us want to chip in and help too??
  15. Does that mean an afternoon of assembling flat pack furniture? If so I sympathise for you!
  16. No worries, Yeah I thought about buying it but found a Danequip in the end.
  17. It was under used machinery http://www.benburgess.co.uk It looks like they may have sold it was there earlier this week.
  18. This is at Ben Burgess. £1600 I think it is.
  19. Until recently my cs100 was my only chipper it did the job but there is far more cutting to get branches to go through, I now have a 6" feed diesel greenmech and couldn't go back to the little one on a full time basis. Ideally if funds allow have both, but I sold my cs100 to part fund my new one.
  20. The bloke in the green anorak is heading for the drop are?
