  1. When they were saying on the Breakfast news about camper vans etc being towed out I guessed you would be busy.
  2. Better enforce a strict 'no slip-ons' policy in the workplace then.

  5. This firm do a lot of cutting for Wrights, I think. You could try them. C.j.ashby Forestry Limited in Maldon, CM9 8PY
  6. Started out with one. I now have a 1600kg Ace and 3200kg winch as well. They're just a bit much to lug a long way into the woods. We're not all digger jockeys, Stevie.
  7. That could be a goer. What are they like to adjust?
  8. Is that not a pain to adjust? I like the idea of being able to easily put some slack into the system to make it more convenient for the climber to attach the slings to the line. My thinking was that with a prussik it would be quicker to adjust than it being tied off somewhere.
  9. I'm strictly a ground dweller so I don't have any used loops. I figured that I should just buy a couple of new, CE marked ones seeing as they weren't overly dear. It would be down to what was in my truck that day, Sometimes the bag with the 14mm is in there, sometimes it's the 18mm as I have the big Tirfor with me.
  10. Cheers, Joe. I'm ok with the 'how?', just needed advice on the 'with what?' aspect. I was looking at something like this. TEUFELBERGER SIRIUS PRUSSIK LOOP - 10MM X 60CM & 70cm | eBay
  11. I'm after a bit of advice regarding Prussik loops to use on 14mm and 18mm rigging ropes. I want to use them for tensioning zip lines and also for attaching pulleys in a mechanical advantage system. It's not for anything huge, just a way to avoid lugging a Tirfor into the woods. Am I right in assuming that 10mm cord would be up to the job and would I be best with longer or shorter loops(70 or 50cm)? Thanks for any helpful advice,
  12. OK, mate. Please let me know if my luck changes.
  13. If it's the angle-adjustable one, yes please.
  14. All these puns are giving me a sinking feeling.
  15. Clown is spelt with an 'L', not an 'R'.
  16. You have developed Minty syndrome....... ..You've become a Treebore.
  17. If you bought it as a runner, why should you accept a seized saw? It sounds to me as though it could be an air leak if it was beginning to sound lean with fuel still in the tank.
  18. Makes 2 of us.
  19. Send it signed for then there is no argument.
  20. Usually accessorised with a can of Tennant's Super.
  21. If you get one, make sure it has 2 plug sockets and I will join you with my Tesco strimmer.
