  1. Drooooooool......
  2. Oh, I see what you mean. Dirty boy!
  3. Never had you down as a friend of Dorothy, mate.
  4. What's your mum doing in my butler's cottage?
  5. Sorry to hear that, mate. Hope you are all ok.
  6. Whichever brand you choose, make sure they are the sort you push inwards to close rather than pulling out as they are much easier to use.
  7. I suspect it wasn't Straight outta Compton though.
  8. Good call. You may find that you don't want to work for some people but you won't know until you try. The main thing you need to do is meet people and let them know you are available.
  9. Speaking as somebody who has been in your position, don't be in too much of a hurry to spend your redundancy money as you may need it to see you through lean times until you make enough contacts to give you a steady income. Don't turn down any opportunities offered, you never know what might come from them and be honest with your capabilities. You need to put yourself in people's minds as somebody they can work with so you are the first call when they need extra hands. Good luck!
  10. Thanks Alec, I had but it was a bit rich for me. Also, it's a bit too close to the industrial estate next to the A12 which is the haunt of a man who has a penchant for helping himself to other people's kit on an industrial scale.
  11. No worries, mate. Bit far for me too. Hope you get want you want for it.
  12. It would make the identikit easier. No need to worry about eye brows and you could quickly narrow the rest down to the little section marked 'surprised expressions'.
  13. Hope you're ok, Gand.
  14. Where are you selling?
  15. The stick trick? Is that the same as the 'metal tape measure the same length as the distance from eye to hand right angled triangle' trick, ie the stick has to be the same length as the reach? Not the best explanation, I know.
  16. Always knew you were a receiver.
  17. I've been looking for a clinometer for occasional use and wondered if anybody had used this sort before? It looks a bit Mickey Mouse but are appearances deceptive? Invicta 025059 Mk1 Clinometer Angle Measuring Height Instrument 529856 | eBay I'd be struggling to justify spending £100 on a Suunto for the amount of use I would give it.
  18. Sorry for the derail but I thought it needed saying.
  19. http://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/toxprofiles/tp102-c2.pdf
  20. I've cut right back on cured meats since I learned about the effects of Sodium Nitrate, and I drink a small amount of alcohol once in a blue moon. As for human data, have a look aroung for information on cancer of the scrotum and testicles amongst mechanics. I know you can never remove completely any health risks but I try to reduce them as much as I can.
