True. It's more in the emphasis and bias of the reporting.

Odd how often stuff like that happens though, with the help of the media focussing attention elsewhere. Classic example is the Labour party attempted coup, created by the disciples of Bliar and over-reported by Kuenssberg et al at the BBC, which has done a lovely job of taking most people's minds off Chilcot which at 2.6 million words is rather unattractive reading to most.

I would always wear a mask when chipping London Plane at this time. Poplar trees and Ivy are my pet hates. Just my luck that I was doing an Ivy clad Poplar with plenty of fluff on Monday.

As far as I know, there is no differentiation between the species as to level of protection. A Common Pip has the same level of protection as a Bechstein's. I'm only a beginner though so I will check next time I'm at 'Bat Club' though.
