  1. Or a dropper.
  2. Put your bill in and move on. No reason for you to feel foolish.
  3. I would hope most subbies work the same way and it's good that it cuts both ways with you. I know of a climber who brought his GRCS to a job then got lumbered with the repair bill when it got broken . I snagged a gatepost with a trailer once and coughed up for it, meaning I earned the princely sum of £12.50 for the day, before fuel and tax. My mistake, my bill. The plus side to it is if you're honest, you get asked back (unless it was a horrendous ricket ).
  4. Give me a chance to dig out the text books this evening and you're on.
  5. Bit of an in-joke, Daniel.I picked up a digger from Matt in a Ranger. It was a bit touch and go as to whether it would get out of his yard. I think it would have been easier in my Rodeo.
  6. Could be worse, Matt. Could be in a Ranger.
  7. Unfortunately, if he was working under your direction then legally he is most likely right. Morally is a different matter.
  8. I'm selling a Mazda crew cab X reg on Gumtree for £1450 but it is in Essex. It has been SORNed since November 2012 and the MOT ran out this July. PM me if you are interested.
  9. I remember those days. I picked up my first place on the back of it.
  10. A few years ago, my father was showing all the classic signs of bowel cancer. We watched him lose stones of weight and a stocky man who had always been the muscle of the family turned into a skinny old man before our eyes. The whole family were really concerned and the wait to see somebody on the NHS was so long as to really damage his chances of survival if that was what he had so we got him to have an endoscopy privately (with the very specialist he would have waited another few months to see on the NHS ). Fortunately, all was well so the doctor was chatting with my dad to try to ascertain the cause of the problem. As soon as my dad told him that he had been prescribed Diclofenac for knee problems, he told him that was the problem and advised him to get off of it straight away. He even got in touch with the GP to 'advise' him about the care he had given my dad. My advise to you is to get off it and stay off it.
  11. I have to get Ian out of it first.
  12. You're not having your old one back.
  13. Sorry Rich, I thought discussion was the point of a forum? I've got a job and am enjoying a weekend off. I was just pointing out to one member who seems to like picking a fight with another particular member and then playing the martyr that in this case he was very much mistaken.
  14. Surely if you offer to pay when you collect it, you aren't refusing to pay?
  15. Don't forget to take your ball with you.
  16. They hijack accounts, hence the need for contact outside of EBay.
  17. Same as my set up apart from mine has a cab, not a canopy.
  18. Can't really play the injured party when you haven't got your facts straight.
  19. If the mods see your post as being unsuitable for any number of reasons then the post can be removed. Make sure you don't 'name and shame' or mudsling as, in the event of the target getting litigious, it's Steve and his forum that will end up carrying the can.
  20. I like a bit of variety so 4 1/2lb felling axe, 6lb axe and a maul for the stuff that really needs 7 shades beating out of it. I only split for myself and family so some stuff ends up in the firepit if it's too much trouble.
  21. The boss is back on Sunday so I'll find out if he likes his willow pollards on Monday morning, mate.
  22. 'Neverbend' is true to its brand name.......they snap instead.
  23. I seem to be spending more time away from the keyboard at the moment so if anyone wants to tip on one of 'my' sites, ring me on 07739 556764.
  24. Just thought I would bump this up again. I now also have a site near Maldon which needs a lot of mulch/woodchip for a 5,000 tree memorial wood. This site is the only remaining complete WW1 Royal Flying Corps aerodrome left in existence in Europe and is in the hands of a charitable trust so you would be doing a good deed as well as getting a free tip. PM me or call on 07739 556764.
  25. Ah, that is good business practice, not consumer law.
