  1. Sooner or later, somebody is going to do something drastic.
  2. I suspect there will be an another issue for non-payment if he does.
  3. It's the only reason I work.
  4. You don't need to change them, you need to provide a written quote and make sure you draw their attention to your t&c's. Nail the quotes down and you don't let problems get an in.
  5. Any witnesses to what you said? If you have, then go down the Small Claims route. They sound to me like they are trying it on. You should bear in mind that my opinion is, however, worth exactly what you have paid for it.
  6. Looks reasonable. Did this client have a copy of your t&c's and did you draw their attention to them?
  7. Then the mistake is their's. If they do not understand a term then it is upto them to ask. Although not strictly in the true meaning of the quote, 'ignorance is no defence in the eyes of the law'.
  8. How was your quote worded? If you stated that you would fell to ground level and remove all arisings then you are fine. If you said you would remove the tree, you could well end up a victim of your own wording. You need good, clear quotes and t&c's.
  9. Definitely clutch related.
  10. Well, you won't get it back if you keep breaking it. That nice Andy Collins doesn't break things. Why can't you be more like him? It's ok, I managed to get hold of the vendor I needed to speak to anyway.
  11. I just get a blank page when I try to look at Arbtrader?
  12. PM sent. For anybody else needing a tip site for clean ( ie not full of rakings or the team's Ginsters wrappers and Monster cans ) chip or log around Junction 28 of the M25, feel free to PM me for details. The tipping area is on hard standing so no need for 4wd. I also have access to a site near Maldon in Essex but I need a bit of warning for this as it isn't my site, only a place I am connected with. It is a good tip site for history buffs though and they do need a lot of chip for a very good cause.
  13. Wolfie, I've got one at Ingatestone (CM4) and one at Stow Maries (CM6). Will pm you my number.
  14. Tell him to get his finger out sorting your heating then.
  15. Wouldn't that be a golden.......actually,no, best I don't go there.
  16. Still peeing down in a superior way.
  17. The prices that are charged for it, I would expect it to be kiln dried.
  18. I was blocked in parked on the street outside my house by somebody who had pulled right up to my bumper and left half a car length of space between them and the double yellows behind them. I got my trolley jack out, dragged their car onto the yellow lines and left it there.
  19. Excellent lateral thinking, Liam.
  20. Is there not some regulation about planting conifers too close to new builds in the original landscaping? Could that not be reverse engineered to show that the builder should not have built that close to an existing conifer hedge?
  21. Assuming you had told him your terms already, the guy is obviously an arsey pratt who you can well do without.
  22. There should be a switch on the flask somewhere. If you can't find it, take it back to the shop and ask them to show you.
  23. 10 bob and a rabbit.
  24. Having got the winch off the vehicle, I found the thermal cut off had disintegrated as well so will be ordering Albright solenoid and new thermal cut off this weekend. Going to take the opportunity to give the whole thing a good clean and grease while it's off.
