  1. the ones i've got are from veg importers, if you google that in your local area, you may come up with something. failing that, as grant says above, go to any potato farmer and ask if he's got any old ones you can have, and repair them
  2. i take all my gear to the local launderette.. that way if it does bugger the machine up....not my problem poor greeks pmsl
  3. you might be better off with a trailer Tom ok, you've got your trailer test to pass, but i think it would be more practical. plus you get to keep your landy
  4. thanks BRD, i've got two big lorry sheets to go over the top. the only problem is they're bright RED...... but the good thing about them is they've got lots of tiedowns hopefully, they should keep the worst of the rain off. i did think about covering them with clear plastic, the idea being to create a kind of polytunnel. but discounted the idea as i didn't think the plastic would stand up to the weather..
  5. yeah buddy, thought about that too, but the cost of the macinery needed is mind blowing. i don't borrow money, everthing i've got is paid for ( apart from the house) i look at it this way, if i drop out of a tree n break something, i'm buggered. if i've got finance, loans, credit cards, etc i'm PROPER buggered.. i'll be looking at a skid steer for about 3/4K in the summer thought about a tractor, but the price of even and old banger is rediculous. some of the guys on here collect toys like i collect saws ( you know who you are ) lol there must be plenty of money trees out there, but i'm yet to find one.....pmsl
  6. me too buddy, its just the Arb waste from jobs throughout the year, but its been a godsend this winter kept me afloat during the snow
  7. trouble is geoff, the log market is pretty cut throat round here, too many timber gypseys. a guy was selling bulk bags of crap (softwood offcuts, chopped up sleepers etc) for £25 delivered !!!!!! i was going to buy a few myself!!! when i rang he said he'd had nearly 100 and sold em all. he was thinking of charging £30 next time. i gave him my number...lol i still sold out of what i had, charging the prices above

  13. got a plant trailer at present, for the chipper, and was thinking whether my pallet truck would go up and down it. that'd be ideal
  14. Ah........... There lye's the problem TMT.. I've nothing to lift em yet. Planning on buying a Skid Steer this summer (money permitting) I'm guessing there'll be about 700kg's in each, is that about what your getting?

  16. hi everyone, just picked up a supplier for these. filled 7 of em today and one of the neighbours must have heard, coz he came round asking what i'd sell him a full one of ash/oak for. the boxes measure 1000mm x 1000mm x 1200mm i was thinking £75-00 for mixed h/woods and £60-00 for softwood/ offcuts etc what do you lot think, too dear thanks dave
