  1. hi alex, whereabouts are you based ?
  2. my brothers a site manager for a large construction co. working away atm so he's no good, but the firm he works for was recently taken to court about this and the contractor won. probably never got anymore work, but won. we're on our second page now, put everything on it, the 10' stringy hawthorn taken out, the 13 extra stumps to be ground out....all on, all to be paid for hopefully lol
  3. we've got 7 on our books now, half term next week and we're fully booked. roll on the summer hols
  4. hi all, approx 20 ton of poplar available for collection from Hull from 20-10-11 will be ringed up and cut to handleable sizes. beer money only tel 07876-572717
  5. personally, i'd go for the telehandler. if you can afford one with a longer reach they can be used for the odd dismantle, if access allows. we've got an old leyland c/w loader, visability of the forks is none existant, defo need a spotter, lifting capacity is fairly low, VERY expensive imo
  6. just found out, the proper name is a 'CVI' sheet (Confirmation of Verbal Instruction) found a couple on the internet but i'd like to make sure its the right thing before i spend my £5-50
  7. we'll be offering it come the winter. we've had a plough made for both the Med tractor and the compact. spreading will be done by one of the ride-ons and a seed spreader, worked last year
  8. Hi all, as the title suggests, i'm after a template for a Job variation sheet/form preferably something i can print off myself. to be used to authorise extra works on site and then be signed off by the site manager. Any ideas greatfully recieved. thanks, dave
  9. anyway, back to the thread. we sell h/w @ £75 per cube, and soft @ £60 all arb arisings we're considered expensive, but have a good product, well seasoned, and have sold out the past 2 years. selling plenty of h/w atm but NO softwood yet ???????
  10. angry birds and live holdem poker sorry, just had to
  11. hi all, looking to buy maybe 3/400 nets of logs. prices please delivery to dn22 postal area, or could collect thanks, dave
  12. cheers buddy, might not be a bad idea to call on the way home.
  13. we were once asked how much we'd pay for the privelidge of taking down thre large dead limes. !!!!!!!!!!!!! but we could keep MOST of the firewood
  14. we run minimum bar sizes on all our saws anyway, the 341's have 15" the 441's have 20" and the 880 runs a 30" as standard with the 4'er only being put on for special occasions. you dont buy a 1.1 fiesta for running up n down the M1, so why flog a 341 with a 20" bar ??
  15. goats also do a good job, trouble is they'll eat EVERYTHING...lol
  16. £150 thats a lot of walking ask him if he's going to clear up after you. if he is maybe £100
  17. once worked with an Irish guy called McCann BIGGER than the proverbial sht house. you could get him everytime if you held out two shovels and told him to take his pick
  18. we advertise on both listings, not only is it getting our name out there, its also supporting the site we all use and abuse. big up Mr Bullman
  19. im hoping not to drag the missus along, i may need to spend !!!!
  20. me too, want to see what firewood fetches, might put a wagons worth in next years
  21. cheers bud. i'll contact you nearer the time. dave
  22. ey up Si !!!! i hope i'm on commision the pendants are great. the craftsmanship is something else. the wolfs head you made me is so tactile, TBH i've taken it off the lace and put it on my car keys, just can't stop fiddling with it
  23. how's this for daftness. we were recently given around 25 new builders sacks approx 0.6 of a cube. as we were running out of cubic meter crates at the time we filled these instead and advertised them. they've been going like hot cakes !!!!!!! we usually sell a full crate (they hold 1.2 cube but we sell them as 1 cube) for £75-00 and we're considered expensive. we sold the sacks for £50-00 each this equates to roughly £83 per cube. i've tried to explain to people that they're better off buying a crate but so far without success. given up trying to educate people now, and after we've filled the last of our crates we'll be switching to vented sacks. its a funny old world
  24. hi all, just picked up a nice little job in hull, starting mid oct. time. anyone know of a chip site anywhere near, should have around 15 ton. also should be a couple of artic loads of cord to come home. thanks in advance, dave
  25. looking at the guys feedback it looks like he's a second hand stuff dealer. i'm wondering if he's took the job on, realised its a tricky one and is trying to pass it on and still make a killing ?????
