  1. Neil Young - After the gold rush (1978) - YouTube
  2. I've kept a few in the past, Berkshire's and Tamworth's. Best pork I've ever had. I used to love just watching them, great time wasters.
  3. 5yr old working shire advertised in autumn copy of heavy horse world, Ireland though 00353872514086.
  4. You,ve got to the lad his due, he's cottoning on quick seeing he was'nt a natural born toff. I think he's wrote that for a laugh, he knows 50% of Telegraph readers will be shooters.
  5. Rob, do you have a grease gun?
  6. I had the same problem, usually a 43, but the Meindls were way too tight, I had ordered mine from Jonesie, sent them back and had a pair of 44's by return of post.
  7. I certainly ain't no expert, but it looks good to me.
  8. And that old grey Fergy will still hold it's value!
  9. 'E be a zider drinker, e needs telescopic sights after a few pints of that stuff thay zerve down there, aint that right Mendip. I once had two pints of the raw cloudy stuff it bleddy floored me.
  10. Yep, I had heard that the new Simmons wer'nt quite as good as the older models. Look up Barska, I think South Yorkshire Shooting Supplies import them, I have one on my .17HMR, good value for money.
  11. Surely digger would be best, blackthorn throws up suckers like crazy, so just clearing at ground level like the baler will only make half a job.
  12. I've got a Simmons Whitetail Classic 1.5-5 x 20 on my Air Arms, brilliant scope for an air rifle, good field of view, fast on target, and x5 mag is plenty for an air rifle.
  13. I don't think there's much margin for error, you either have to get it right or you die! Still, I am sure they know that.
  14. For all you adrenaline junkies, watch this guy, although at my time of life I'll stick to opening a can of Red Bull for my adrenaline rush.
  15. Great pics, BB
  16. Thanks for the feedback everyone, went with BT in the end, so much better, so far!
  17. Yes, it's the fumes that do for them, in your situation at your barn, do it at dusk or after dark when they are pretty dormant. Wasps are generally a bit nastier at this time of year because the larvae that feed them are slowing down, they are more likely to feed on fermenting fruit and the like and basically they are pissed, and thats why they are more aggressive.
  18. A little tip, if you need to do the job yourself, a good heavy rag soaked in diesel and left under the nest if accessible will do the job overnight, or if the nest is underground a piece of pipe and pour diesel in. Get well covered up though Not very eco friendly I know, but simetimes needs must.
  19. I don't know why all the negative comments, as Liam says he is just posting some pics of the way they do things. I'm sure that he and his family are well aware of the risks, probably his Grandad has forgotten more about the job than most of us will ever know (me anyway). I've seen qualified accessors do everything they tell us not to. I've got tickets and ppe, dos'nt make me a better man than him, all it does is cover my backside if something goes pear shaped.
  20. Found 7 within 30yds of one another yesterday, some nasty little blighters amongst 'em as well.
  21. I meant in the shooting field!
  22. Nice pics Matt
