  1. Lol, just after posting this, had to go out and got stuck behind a bleddy tractor, to be fair he did pull in when he got the chance, but there was a fair queue behind him.
  2. Did anyone listen to some of the comments on Radio 2 today. Vanessa Phelps was asking the general public their views on being held up by slow moving traffic such as tractors/trailers, combines etc. Joe public was suggesting that tractors only be allowed on the roads between 10pm and 6am, amongst other things. Are these people really so far removed from life as not to be aware where their daily bread comes from?
  3. More dogs ruined by taking them out too young than any other way.
  4. At the point the owner said, "are you going to hurry up", I would of asked for a cash payment up front, then we would of seen just how much she loved her cat!
  5. Me too, Saturday afternoons, open fire, tea and toast, great days! Jackie Pallo was a good wrestler!
  6. Some good coming out of it then!
  7. Always cracks me up, dos'nt matter how many times I see it
  8. Why would you want to marry a woman who did'nt cook your tea, I thought that was one of the reasons for getting married
  9. Just received an offer from BT today , broadband and calls, new router etc. Will have to look to see what Sky can offer me.
  10. I know this has been done before but who do we rate, I'm currently with aol and it's doing my head in. About the only time I get decent speeds is 1st thing in the morning. Some days it's hopeless trying to get on after 10am in the morning.
  11. Sorry, my pc is playing up and not helping, but if I remember just about any of the Dunhill brands were a good, they did one called 985 mix or something like that, which I really liked.
  12. Get a good pipe, Peterson are a good make. Find a specialist tobacconist, most will do mail order nowadays, aromatics are a good start and full of flavour too. Dunhill make a good range of tobaccos, let me google to try and remember the names.
  13. Nothing like a good shag, although Macberrans Navy Flake comes close
  14. I don't smoke at all nowadays, but when I packed in fags I smoked a pipe, nothing more relaxing, and the choice of tobaccos is really good. I am tempted to start again, pipe and baccy still in me drawer upstairs.
  15. Good to see Graham. I used to see a lot around here, but the buzzards have hit them hard. Rare to see one now.
  16. Good find Jammy where was that? Two good horses would manage that comfortably, the length of the pole provides the leverage, find the balance point of the log, hook up, pull down and hey presto log comes off floor. These things are still being used today in different forms, think of the logrite arches.
  17. Nice pics Dave, but are you sure they are the right ones? It looks like there's a fat bald chap driving that 'oss
  18. Sounds excellent, if I had a climbing ticket my application would be winging it's way right now, great opportunity for someone.
  19. Steve, will you be giving those of us who joined up at the beginning a renewal reminder?
  20. Great stuff Matt, you are very lucky to get them pictures, we have a good otter population here in Shropshire.
  21. It should be a minimum of 8 ton a day, double if they know what they are at. Also assuming timber has been felled butt towards extraction route and not like a mass of pick up sticks.
  22. It all depends on the length of extraction, give me an average length and I can tell you.
  23. Sorry Hama, but not necessarily so. I have a lab, trained gundog, on a shoot he has never been a problem, if I tell him to sit and walk away for 10 minutes, he will still be there when I get back. But he hates my next door neighbour with a vengeance, I have no idea why, but if said neighbour comes to the fence for a chat, I have to warn the dog off, I'm certain if ever he tried to come over the fence and I was,nt there the dog would have him big time, maybe it is territorial but he never does it to anyone else.
