  1. I have a tipper, I have no bank loans or start up grants ?
  2. We have a propane hob elec oven. New gas hob will cost about £60 with free propane jets. We use 1 bottle per year tops two. Use calor tried others but they dont gas off when near bottom of bottle and its cold.
  3. I have just been through all this. I have someone who represented me I can give u his no. Developers are slightly less honourable than drug dealers and will screw you sideways given the chance. We live in a wealthy area the land should be worth at least 600k but most got 100k per acre. good luck with what ever u decide to do be careful and watch your back.
  4. We use a hilux with 2 cu metre capacity it would take me alot longer to unload by hand than 2 minutes. By not offering stacking we can do 2 more deliveries a day. We have used a trailer in the past but found it scuffed up gravel drives and was a pain to push in snow and ice. The battery would go flat at just the wrong time. Our hilux charges its own battery, goes anywhere, drops a nice neat pile due to height of body, The oil is warmed by the exhaust so no slow drops either.
  5. I did look into it 2 years ago I think one product was tanalith. Cant remember the other I think the official view then was ok to incinerate as long as temp was above 600 deg c
  6. We could use new truss off cuts huge quanities but we dont unless someone can tell us its safe and legal. But who could you trust to give the go ahead.
  7. No dog deserves a bad life but maybe you could supply one of those horrible little yappy things that they keep in their hand bags. They dont require as much exercise and not as prone to putting on weight as retrievers otherwise its got to be dog dead story.
  8. So the feeling is the newer treatments are less harmful than the old stuff. But will they be safe enough to make into kindling for resale in the future. It can be really difficult spotting treated timber as there is a new one that has a very light yellow tinge to it.
  9. Before we had a log deck we used to cut to 4ft so we could lift it all day. I would imagine its been forwarded behind a quad due to access. Could be ideal for someone near by with a big grain trailer.
  10. In 1988 I worked for the only onan dealer in the country for 2 years. I still have a few workshop manuals. Was you engine good when it was working. Can you get one off ebay possibly a low hr genset engine.
  11. Yes but £100 tax up front before you have collected 90 loads or a £1 in someones pocket as you go along. Depends on how you view life. I dont like paying more tax than is required in this country because I dont agree with the way its spent.
  12. I just renewed mine for 3 years about £100 I figure at some time I will have waste on. You could get round it when collecting offcuts by paying them a pound but then that starts them thinking its worth money.
  13. Just my opinion but I cant justify spending decent wedge on a machine that cant lift approaching 1000kg . I tend to have my bobcat which lifts 800kg at a push and a 3 tonne telehandler.
  14. If you remember in 2009/10 it jumped from £28 a tonne to £40 a tonne and it s never come back down.
  15. Best idea I heard all week ca ching
  16. I cant believe how the world moves stuff around to save pennies. Bit like ebay heads driving 200 miles to save £12 postage :lol:no wonder the worlds in a mess some of these people run it.
  17. The tory government put a tax of £15 a tonne on fc timber comming out the forest when they came to power. Because they did it private estates simply increased their price by £15 thats why cord wood costs so much and the men harvesting still earn very little.
  18. Alot of that was liquidation. We get long lengths when its shaped like a banana, split down the middle, full of knots alot of which has fell out, weathered or mis machined. Very little is usable for construction. Because the economy has slowed up there is alot less about.
  19. A few bits of 3x2 box section a log pick and a few hundred quid will make your life tonnes easier. If your making a fortune out of logs and fancy a rolls royce deck spend the money on a proper one.
  20. A few pics of what we are looking for. No pile to big if you have the wood we have the demand.
  21. That should work well as our busiest time for kindling is in the summer.
  22. Thanks for that I think I have one just up the road and have in the past been to see them never gave it a thought this time round.
  23. Looking for construction timber, carcassing , joinery offcuts needs to be untreated. Anything considered the closer to Andover Hampshire the better.
  24. If you have a 325 chain on a 3/8 bar I would imagine alot of friction. Your clutch may be or may have been ok.
