  1. We have noticed in the last year we are having to pay more for joinery offcuts because the biomass market has been driving up the price. If people cant screw good money out of us they can fall back to bio mass.
  2. If my saw pulls to one side and cuts bananas its because my hand sharpening is different one side to the other. I put everything back in line after 7 sharpens by sticking the chain on the bench grinder.
  3. She must have spent best part of £3000
  4. If you are vat registered it makes a new one at jonses look like a bargain. People normally sell saws because they have had the best out of them.
  5. There is alot of good people on ebay buying and selling and are completely honest and a pleasure to meet. Unfortunately the other 50% are total dick heads.
  6. I have a ms390 which has served me well. Was like new from a dealer for £150. Does not always oil well and I think it is only a farm saw. After 4 years hard use probably needs a new spark plug I would imagine the husky is better but mine looks ok on the shelf in semi retirement.
  7. Ours looks exactly the same as markos with the top off Jon. Do you want it.
  8. If your not going to china for a one legged barrow heres ours Jon
  9. I have had coopers before alot of tire fitters call them 50 pence pieces because they often go out of shape before they wear out. They are made by avon and they are known for it. Sure enough mine went out of shape. My BFG went out of shape after 80,000 miles and 8 years I have bought a new set
  10. At 6ft you can live with most vehicles. Its the extra couple of inches or more that is the problem. The vito fits like a glove the vw transporter forget it. Biggest problem is knees banging dash and lack of thigh support. give it a drive and see if it fits.
  11. Hi Jon we have one thats not used looks like 121080352323
  12. Great vans but I am 6ft 3 and the carcass just does not fit.
  13. I would be disappointed if you left a few small businesses in the lurch when you shut down last week. If you left no dirt behind then good on you for getting up and trying again. No offence and its not my business just my point of view.
  14. If the glass keeps going black on your new wood burner its a good sign your logs are not seasoned properly.
  15. So you dont leave school go on a course and learn it all in 3 days. I am time served qualified Hgv mechanic. Back to college for 4 years in the evenings qualified approved electrician. On the forestry side nothing but 20 years experience.
  16. If you dried it next to your stove its not green is it.
  17. Or did he panic and not think to hit the emergency stop. deflecting blame away from operator by creating a H&S problem.
  18. There has never been a better time to spread your assets around. Some in property, machinery, bank, under the bed, premium bonds. I would give cord wood a miss
  19. I would imagine it has torsion bars. If they are not broken I leave them alone. I once adjusted a soft torsion bar up to stop it bottoming out. It worked great for a few weeks then snapped. When you adjust the bar has to twist further.
  20. Tipped loads often come in 1cu metre or 2 cu metre so those sizes would be good. I would overlap the boards on the side like a around the top of the animal sheds so the wind blows through but stops the rain.
  21. Its a way of hiding the fact its all soaking wet green softwood. Thats the third bag of that I have seen this week being held up with rude comments.
  22. I spoke to an iveco dealer this week and he confirmed that most ivecos inc the 3500kg gross ones tow 3500kg behind. He did point out most tippers and flat beds were on twin wheels and this would be the way to go for towing.
  23. If you are in a block of flats are your neigbours growing it on a window seal.
  24. Agreed most vehicles are worth 56% of there purchase price after 3 years. Not eight. You can buy a low spec hilux d cab for £16k + vat brand new.
