Now then Huck, Im in Dumfries but i can be anywhere! I will be back home ( wigan ) that week but i dont mind travelling. -

Wierd... My father in law rang me on saturday asking me why his Eucalyptus was dying and would i come and cut it down for him. Thats in Dalbeattie, south west Scotland.

A couple of weeks ago arbtalk member Dave fox sent me a message asking me for some advice about his christmas tree plantation i told him how i did things and some of the different methods i use to produce my christmas tree's. Week or 2 later Dave asked me for my address and said he was posting something up to me. This morning i recieved 3 bundles of the tastiest asparagus ive ever eaten! I did some in the oven with a little olive oil, sea salt and parmasean cheese on and a few spears on the Bbq. It was some top fresh veg. So thanks to you Dave from me and my family...

That job in Wales really put you off didnt it pal? I still have nightmares about that... If you want to learn more and get more experience then find a good, established firm ( you might have to lower your day rate ) and do a day or 2 for them when you can and keep on contracting to pay the bills while you learn and do some networking... I realise that all of the above is easier said than done. The 2 and a half years i did at treeclear was where i did most of my learning not at college. Just a thought... -

Now then chaps! Ive got a week off from the 23rd of May and i wanna do some felling and get grafting. I Dont get chance to do much proper tree work anymore with running the tree farm so im game for my yearly fix while im quiet. Experienced groundsman with all NPTC ground tickets PTS CSCS DMQ PA1 & PA6 First aid Loads of exp on site clearance and big machinery but im game for anything and il go anywhere as long as there are digs. I also advise on christmas tree production with knowledge and experience based on growing tree's in Finland, Denmark and Scotland to a very high, award winning standard. Thanks, Rik
